Tenant given list of items to contribute following the death of his landlord

A tenant has shared a list of the items his landlord's son expect him to contribute towards the burial of the late landlord.

In a letter sent to the tenant in Aba, the landlord's son invited him to a meeting ahead of the burial.

He was asked to come with certain items, including 1 goat, 2 cartons of beer, 2 cartons of malt, 100,000 Naira and more.

The letter is going viral after the tenant shared it with the caption: "You see nothing sef.

My landlord just passed on and his son wrote a list of items that I will provide for him as his tenant for his burial rites

Anambra university grants scholarship to 5,000 repented commercial s*x worker, vulnerable persons

Tansian universiersity, Umunya, Anambra in partnership with Chartered Institute of Educational Practitioners, U.K., CIEPUK, has granted full scholarship to 5,000 repented commercial s*x workers and vulnerable people.

Prof. Marcel Ezenwoye, the National President, CIEPUK, made this known to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday.

Mr Ezenwoye said that the beneficiaries were drawn from the 36 state of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

"Tansian University, Umunya in Anambra State has awarded full scholarship to 5,000 repented commercial s*x workers and vulnerable women from each of the 36 States of the federation and the FCT.

"The beneficiaries, who are profiled and sent by their respective state government shall undergo three months intensive training on different craft and skills after which they will be equipped with relevant resources.

"Beneficiaries shall attend the course in any of the two centres for the northern and southern part of the nation in batch from Feb. 26.

"The three-month entrepreneurship skill program includes professional preparing in shoemaking, cleanser making, cream making, scriptwriting, video editing, agric business and farm management.

"Others are; acting, online and social media studies, cinematography, furniture making, electrical works, cottage industry, tie and dye, clothing, zest creation, barbing and event management," he said.

The CIEPUK president noticed that no less than 185, 000 beneficiaries would graduate the first phase.

According to him, the beneficiaries will be provided with free tuition fee, accommodation, medical cover, insurance and security.

"Tansian University, with help from its technical partners, Chartered Institute of Educational Practitioners U.K. will provide all beneficiaries with free tuition fee, accommodation, medical cover, insurance, security while their respective state government provide feeding to cover the three months training programme.

"It is expected that 185,000 beneficiaries will graduate within this first phase after which they will be in a situation to add to the Gross Domestic Product.

"From the impact, they will make on the public economy, it is relied upon to be in the region of ₦200 billion annually apart from the direct and Indirectly jobs their activities will create," he said.

Hon. Rilwanu Gadagau was killed by bandits while he was traveling along the Kaduna-Zaria Highway on December 13, 2021.

Bandits have killed a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rilwanu Gadagau, along the Kaduna-Zaria Highway.

Gadagau, who represented Giwa Constituency of the state, was the Chairman of the Committee on Local Government and Rural Development in the Assembly.

He was reported to have been killed on Monday night by bandits who attacked travellers along the road. The body of the lawmaker was subsequently found on Wednesday morning.

FG Gives Pantami, NCC N1.8bn to Monitor and Block SIM Cards Used for Dubious Calls and Frauds

Pantami's ministry and the Nigerian Communications Commission will monitor, detect and track dubious calls made using anywhere in Nigeria The NCC and comms ministry got N1.8 billion up to ensure that Nigerians are protected from fraudsters who clone SIM cards

The system will help the regulatory agency to block SIM cards engaging in dubious or fraudulent calls and activities from anyplace in the world Nigeria is ramping up the fight against fraudsters who use telephone and SIM cards to dupe the unsuspecting public.

The government has supported funds for the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) to track dubious calls made with the plan to defraud users.

Minister of Communications, Isa Ali Pantami, said the deployment is to fight what is called voice traffic termination fraud.

Nigeria's Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved N1.8 billion for the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy and NCC to deploy regulatory system in the Nigerian Telecoms industry to tackle criminal act in the country.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, says it has started conference with its branches across Nigeria to settle on closing down public universities.

This follows the lapse of the three-week final offer gave to the Federal Government

ASUU had on November 15, given the ultimatum proposal, requesting that the FG satisfy its needs or face another strike.

The union had encouraged the general public to consider the states answerable for another modern activity assuming it neglects to address their requests within the three-weeks, focusing on that ASUU is completely dedicated to uphold the academy integrity in Nigerian universities to make them more globally competitive.

However, ASUU's National President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke who spoke with DAILY POST on Tuesday, regretted that the final offer finished on Sunday without endeavors from the Federal Government to address their requests.
