The Lord values our lives and suffers along with us when we come to death's door. He calms our spirits and prepares our hearts. He does not delight in our anguish and sits patiently in our presence, providing peace and comfort as He receives our souls. We must remember that our lives are precious to our Creator. Our physical decline saddens Him even though a peaceful eternal life is in our future.
