Global Management Challenge  Nigeria Largest management and strategy competition worldwide based on simulation. Develops managerial skills,leader ship,strategy,decision making,team building.

Launched in Portugal in 1980, by SDG and the EXPRESSO newspaper, more than 500.000 competitors comprising a range from company executives to university students have participated worldwide. The Global Management Challenge has become a high profile and visible event in more than 30 countries where it is held, adding prestige to the many participating organizations. The success of the Global Managem

ent Challenge is due to the commitment of the sponsors, supporters, jury, media partners and the thousands of teams, that annually compete, with the objective of winning the Title of Best National Team and thereby qualifying to compete for the World Title. The International Final, where the winning teams of each country compete for the World Title, is a milestone and prestigious event, which provides a unique experience of contact between different cultures and the reality of competing at an international level. With more than 40 years experience and being present in more than 40 countries, the Global Management Challenge is clearly then largest Strategy and Management Competition in the world.

General information

The Global Management Challenge consists of a Management Simulation in which each team runs a Company, with the objective of getting the highest Investment Performance for the company. Managing a company, without running real-world risks, and taking top management decisions, the competitors are given the opportunity to: Analyse Financial and Economic Indicators, •Broaden their views on Corporate Strategy, •Interact with the different Functional Areas of a Company, •Understand the Market Conditions in which they compete and Customer Satisfaction, •Become aware of the impact of their Decisions on the Organization itself, within an environment designed to encourage and develop teamwork The Global Management Challenge normally consists of 4 stages: •1st Round •2nd Round •National Final •International Final: in March/April of the following year, that brings together the winners from each country Each stage consists of Five Developing Decision Periods during the competition. The Group Winner is the team that finishes with the highest Investment Performance.
