We wish to express our sincere condolences to the Ebira nation that was thrown into mourning after the transition to the great beyond of the Ohinoyi, Dr. Ado Ibrahim. Alas! úkwú m'onu ñ!

He was a charismatic, well cultured, disciplined, dogged and loving King who always wish for the best, not just for his people, but the entire state.

May this journey of no return be peaceful unto the beloved soul of the Ohinoyi!
May his departure bring forth more peace, love and prosperity to Ebira land and Kogi State in entirety. Adieu!

Over the weekend (24/9/2022), the Ata Igala, Alaji Mathew Opaluwa Oguche-Akpa II was at the palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III as Omadino community hands over the duty of "Palace Watch" to Irigbo community. This ceremony according to the Itsekiri people is called Ghìghó Aghọ̀fẹ́n.

The Ata was also enthusiastically welcomed by Igala sons and daughters in Warri.
