"INDECISIVE LOVE ", EPISODE 6

Anita couldn't contain her curiosity. She wanted to know every detail of Maxwell's experiences with his two ex-girlfriends.

Maxwell begun, "My first girlfriend and I started dating when we were in JSS2, and we were deeply in love with each other. Almost all our family members knew we were dating."

But the story took a turn when she left during SSS1, relocating to a more developed area. Despite the distance, they made a promise never to cheat on each other. Maxwell's love for her and his commitment to that promise meant he couldn't entertain thoughts of infidelity. He withstood teasing from his classmates who didn't understand his strong devotion.

Then, on December 30th, during Christmas, she surprised him by showing up unannounced at his place with her best friend. She claimed that her phone had fallen and was damaged on her way to his house. Maxwell was not at home when she arrived, but his mother and siblings were there. His mother informed him of her visit, and he rushed home with his friend Kennedy .

Upon his return, she introduced him to her best friend and explained the incident with her phone. Maxwell, out of love, promised to fix the phone for her. The next day, she expressed her need to call her mother and, without hesitation, he lent her his phone, allowing her to use his SIM card to make the call. This selfless act left Maxwell temporarily phoneless.

But when she was about to leave, Kennedy asked if he could borrow the phone to capture a video. Unknown to Maxwell, Kennedy secretly turned on the call recorder to record any conversations she had. Maxwell then took her damaged phone to a repairman, using money he had intended for his new year clothes to cover the repair.

On New Year's Day, Maxwell saw her with a strange guy. When he asked her about him, she explained that he was her best friend's brother. Trusting her implicitly, Maxwell ignored his friend Kennedy 's suspicions and arguments. This misplaced trust led him to wear his old clothes that day since he had spent all his money on repairing her phone.

Unknown to Maxwell, she spent a night with the guy in a guest house. Two days later, he successfully repaired her phone, but she didn't show any appreciation. She returned his phone, and Kennedy was tasked with charging it. A few hours later, Kennedy returned with a shocking revelation.

Kennedy, "Maxwell, I told you that guy is your babe's boyfriend."

Maxwell: "How did you know?"

Kennedy then played a recording of the conversation between Maxwell's girlfriend and the guy she secretly communicate with.

(Their secret conversations as follows....)

Maxwell's girlfriend: "Hello, babe, it's your girlfriend, Anita."

The guy: "Okay, where did you get the phone from? Your phone was damaged a week ago. Have you fixed it?"

Maxwell's girlfriend: "I got this phone from a guy in my area."

The guy: "Who is the guy to you?"

Maxwell's girlfriend: "He is just my grandparents' neighbor, nothing more."

The guy: "Okay, when I come to your area, I will spend a night there, I hope you know?"

Maxwell's girlfriend: "Pretty sure. That was our agreement. I can't wait to see you. It's only been a day since I left you, and I'm already missing you like crazy."

The guy: "Don't worry, you will see me soon."

Maxwell's girlfriend: "Please come on time."

The guy: "I won't hesitate."
Maxwell's girlfriend: "I love you, baby."

The guy: "Thanks."

Maxwell's girlfriend: "You've started again. I told you that I love you, and you just responded with 'Thanks.'"

The guy: "But there's nothing wrong with that. Goodnight. Go and give the phone back to the owner and he ended the call."

(Kennedy said to Maxwell...)

Kennedy : "Even the guy doesn't love the girl. I told you she's cheating on you, but you doubted me. She collected your phone and used it to call her boyfriend, and she didn't call her mum even once."

Maxwell was stunned, unable to find words to respond. Kennedy suggested confronting her, but Maxwell chose not to reveal that he was aware of her betrayal, at least not at that moment.

A few months later, Maxwell gained admission to a higher institution. After a year of studying away, he concocted a plan. He invited his ex-girlfriend to his school, with her friend in town. Anita couldn't contain her shock.

Anita: "Chai!! ... She's very heartless. But what did you do to her?"

Maxwell hesitated, reflecting on his past experiences and the decisions that led him to this point.

After a week of closely observing Maxwell , Anita couldn't help but be amazed by how he remained consistently caring and understanding, even after the pregnancy test prank she had pulled on him. She had tested his love, but he had only shown more commitment.

So, a week after the pregnancy test prank, she decided to finally reveal the truth about herself to Maxwell . She had been carrying the weight of her deception, and she knew it was time to come clean. Maxwell came over to her place, carrying the delicious food he had cooked for her. Their discussion began, and she couldn't help but feel a mix of fear and relief.

Anita, "Babe, there's something I want to tell you, can I ?"

Maxwell, "Babe, you don't need to seek my permission before you say or ask whatever you want to ask me, please go ahead."

Anita, "First and foremost, I want to thank you for loving me unconditionally and genuinely; I am so grateful."

Maxwell, "You're welcome, babe."

Anita, "Babe, I have been hiding this from you, and I want to make it known to you. But, I'm scared that you might break up with me at the end of our discussions."

Maxwell, "Babe, come on, I am not a fool. Why would I break up with you? Or did you commit murder ?"

Anita, "Not at all." It just the real facts about myself and the mystery behind what I was doing."

Maxwell, "Then go ahead."

Anita, "Promise me that you won't break up with me or get upset with me."

Maxwell, "Okay, if that's the case, I promise. Please, go ahead because I am desperately waiting to hear the truth from you."

Anita began, "Sorry that I told you that I have a father; the truth is that I don't have a father. I was raised by a single mother. My mum is a single mother of six children, four girls, and two boys, and I am the last born. My mum was the only one who raised us because all the men who got her pregnant denied and dumped her."

"Six of us belong to five different men. Only two belong to one man. The remaining four children belong to four men. My three sisters and my two brothers carried on with that same process."

She continued, "My first sister dropped out of secondary school because of an unwanted pregnancy. Currently, she has three children by three different men, and they all dumped her.

My second sister also dropped out of secondary school because of an unwanted pregnancy. Currently, she has two children by different guys, and she's still pregnant for another guy, and all those guys denied the pregnancy."

"My third sister has two children, and her boyfriend who got her pregnant dumped her and ran away."

"My first brother has one child, and two girls are currently pregnant for him. The two girls are in our family's house as I'm speaking right now."

Anita, "Then my second brother, who is a womanizer, got four girls pregnant."

Anita, "And I am the only one left."

Maxwell, "OMG 😱, the circumstances are more than coincidences. I think there's an altar that's responding to what is happening in your family.

Anita, "You might be right, Maxwell!, I need to see a spiritualist, I think my family was under generational curses because of the consistency of patterns."

The nextday, she visited a spiritualist, Madam Abena, hoping to understand whether the trials in her family were the result of a generational curse or something spiritual in nature. With a heavy heart, she explained her family's history to the spiritualist, desperate for guidance.

As the inquiry processes began, the spiritualist asked her, "What's your family name?"

Anita provided the name of her family.

Madam Abena, "The circumstances that are happening in your family are not spiritual, not witchcraft, and not a curse, but are within your family lineage."

Anita, "Please, wise one, what can I do to resolve these mysterious problems? Wise one, help me."

Madam Abena, "The solution you're looking for is in your hands."

Anita, "Please, wise one, direct me on what to do."

Madam Abena, "All you need to do is to apply your wisdom."

Anita, "How can I do that, please?"

Madam Abena, "Just flee from anything that would lure you to be like your siblings and your mum. The only way you can resolve this is by associating with a responsible man, a man from a well-disciplined family. Just choose one man, focus on that one man, be truthful and faithful to him. Before you let such a man sleep with you, you must rest assured that he truly loves you and that when the pregnancy comes, he won't deny it. By all means, make sure the man's parents and some of his family members are aware of you. Before you allow such a man to get you pregnant, you must be assured that he's 60-70% ready to marry you. Otherwise, you might eventually end up like your mum and your siblings. Lastly, anything you do concerning these issues, you must do it wisely."

Anita, "Thank you very much, wise one. I will definitely implement the wise idea that I just got from you."

Madam Abena, "You may leave."

Returning to their ongoing discussion, Maxwell, expressed his thoughts on the matter.

Maxwell, "This is very strange. Some of the things people go through in life are not always a result of spiritual attacks or curses. My dear, it's essential to do thorough investigation before blaming and accusing people in your life because sometimes the 'village people' that some people always accuse are innocent of the accusations."

Anita, "I agree with you. So when I came back, I began to think of what I would do. That's when I got this pranking idea. From there, I started dating. I was very much afraid to date someone before so that I wouldn't get pregnant sooner or later. I'm grateful that I have finally found you."

Maxwell, "Anita, you're a great person. I thank God for your presence in my life. You're indeed a blessing to your entire family."

Anita, "I'm grateful."

Maxwell, "But don't take such risks anymore."

Anita, "Maxwell, without risk, one cannot achieve certain goals and results in life."

Maxwell, "Undoubtedly."

Anita, "Right now, I broke my family's record. I am the first person to attend a higher institution in my family."

Maxwell, "I'm proud of you, babe."

Anita, "That reminds me, you promised to tell me a story concerning your two ex-girlfriends."

Maxwell, "Those two girls did something terrible to me, and I paid them back in a terrible way too."

Anita, "Aaahh, what happened? And what did you do? I'm already scared."

After her relocation to a new area, she found herself soothing well with Maxwell . Both of them were in their third year of study, though they pursued different academic disciplines. It didn't take long for their casual encounters to be made known to the public . For six months, they nurtured this bond, their connection growing stronger day by day.

She discovered, Maxwell, was a unique individual. He possessed qualities that set him apart from her previous experiences. He was cool, brave, lovely, and exceptionally caring. Their relationship was notably different from her past encounters; But, Maxwell rarely verbalized his love for her, yet it was clear that she had fallen deeply in love with him.

In their 6 months of relationship, a situation arose that would test their connection. The time had come to confide in Maxwell , and she invited him to a place for a conversation she deemed crucial.

When Maxwell came, their discussion began.

She couldn't help but bring up a subject that had been on her mind for some time. "Babe, ever since we started dating, you've only told me that you love me twice, and you've never used romantic terms with me. Maxwell , I'm starting to doubt whether you love me because the signs are becoming clear."

Maxwell responded with heartfelt sincerity.

"Anita, expressing occasional love or using romantic names is not the only way to prove my genuine love for you. Some people say 'I love you' frequently to their partners, only to mask the fact that they might not truly love them. I can't be that kind of person. I genuinely love you."

Her response was laced with surprise. "Wow! You're right, but why do you love me?"

Maxwell began to list the qualities that endeared her to him. "I love you because of your pleasant character and attitude, your humbleness, your lack of pride, your maturity, your being open, your decent dressing, your politeness, your natural cuteness, your smartness, your simplicity, your truthfulness, your straightforwardness. I also love you because you're well-trained, well-disciplined, caring, reliable, and, above all, trustworthy."

She was genuinely taken aback. "Wow! I'm super amazed. I never knew you were this romantic."

Maxwell reassured her not to be too surprised. "Don't be too surprised, babe."

Later on, she sought to reveal a significant matter that had been preoccupying her thoughts. "Babe, can I tell you something?"

Maxwell , attentive and caring, encouraged her to proceed. "I'm all ears."

With a deep breath, she shared her concerns. "Babe, I'm sorry to say this, but I missed my period, and I've been having strange feelings. I went to the hospital for a medical check-up, and here's the result."

Upon examining the result, Maxwell 's reaction was mixed. "Wow! This is good news for me, but I think it's bad news for you."

Perplexed, she asked, "Why is it bad news for me?"

Maxwell delved into his concerns about their studies. "Because of your school, how will you cope with your studies? I insisted on using protection the last time, but you were against it. My concern isn't because you're pregnant, not at all. My worry is about school. We're in our third year, and if we complete our education, it would be great.

I'm also concerned because your parents are very strict. They might react strongly if they find out you're pregnant, and that could cause you a lot of trouble. What do you intend to do now? Please tell me your thoughts because I feel very concerned for you right now."

Her response was a reflection of her doubts. "Honestly, I don't know. Should I abort the pregnancy?"

Maxwell 's response was unequivocal. "Hell no. I will never allow you to do that. Assuming my mother had aborted me, I wouldn't be here today. So, forget about abortions. Let's look for legal ways to resolve these issues."

Maxwell suggested that they involve their parents. "I think you should tell your parents, and I will also inform mine. That way, we'll know what our next steps should be."

She hesitated, not ready to disclose the situation to their families just yet. "Not yet, please. It's too early to inform our parents. Let's exercise a bit of patience."

However, Maxwell was concerned about the potential consequences of keeping it a secret. "Patience? Do you think your parents might discover it on their own, and the outcome might not be pleasant?"

She offered reassurance. "No, they won't. Don't forget that I am their only child."

Despite her assurance, Maxwell remained apprehensive about the impact on their education. "What about school? Chances are excellent that you might have to drop out of school, and if you do, I'll also drop out because it would be too troubling for me to attend classes while you stay at home. My mind would be seriously troubled."

She assured him that her education would continue. "Don't worry. I will keep going to school. If it ever gets to a point where I can't attend physically, I'll participate in online lectures."

Maxwell approved of her decision and applauded her for her wisdom. "Wow, that's a wise idea. I'm happy now. But if you ever have to drop out of school, I'll drop out too."

With the weight of their conversation lightened, she couldn't help but express her appreciation. "Wow, Maxwell , you've proven to me beyond a reasonable doubt that you truly love me."

Maxwell responded affectionately. "Anita, I truly love you. I'm just concerned about the pregnancy because you're in your third year, but I think I'm okay with the plan. Can we go out for shopping, please?"

She agreed, with just a minor condition. "Pretty sure, just give me about 10 minutes to get ready."

Maxwell couldn't help but tease her about her newfound promptness. "Anita, did you suddenly change?"

Her response was filled with laughter. "Change as how?"

Maxwell jokingly highlighted her past behavior. "Have you ever used 30 minutes to get dressed and ready, let alone 10 minutes?"

With a smile, she admitted to her previous tendencies. "You caught me."

Their exchange concluded with a promise from Maxwell to patiently wait. "Why won't I? I'll be waiting for you. Just be fast, please."

At the end of the day, she discovered that Maxwell loved her genuinely, even more than she could have hoped for. However, she chose to withhold her true intentions, deciding to wait and see how he would react.

A week later, the time hadcome to reveal the truth to Maxwell . She decided that it was time to let him in on the mystery behind her actions.

A week had passed since the quick end of her relationship with Hassan, and the hurt was still fresh. But now, she was about to confront her third boyfriend, Nnamdi, hoping for a different outcome. He had convinced her to come to his house rather than meeting at hers.

Upon her arrival, they began their discussions. She was determined to ask the same burning question that had haunted her. "Babe, I always wanted to ask you this. Please be sincere. Do you truly love me?"

Nnamdi was quick to reassure her, "Babe, you're funny. You and I know that I love you pretty much."

Unconvinced, she pressed on, "I don't know because I am not in your heart or your mind. Besides, I am not a psychologist."

Unmoved, Nnamdi retorted, "Who cares? Abeg, carry your bad news, go your papa house."

Desperation crept into her voice as she questioned his love for her. "Babe, why are you treating me like this? Or don't you love me anymore?"

Nnamdi's response was cold. "Love k!ll you here. Abeg, go out, make I lock my door."

With that, he physically pushed her out of his room and locked the door, leaving her standing in the hallway, shocked and hurt.

"Hassan , are you sure you truly love me?" She ventured cautiously, voicing her growing suspicions. "I am having these strange feelings that you don't truly love me."

In response, Hassan 's eyes sparkled with an intensity that was almost blinding. "Anita, the love I have for you is stronger than anything you could think of, babe. I can't put into words how much I love you. If I could, I would write it in the sky for the whole world to see. I love you crazily."

Her heart swelled with emotion as she confessed, "Wow!! You're making me shy. I never knew you loved me to this extent."

Hassan , equally moved, continued to assure her. "Babe, you're the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't trade the love I have for you for anything."

"I am so lucky to have you, Hassan ," she declared, overwhelmed with gratitude.

Angrily, she asked him, "Play how? Can't you see the name and the logo of the hospital?"

Upon reading the document, Hassan questioned her further. "What should we do now?"

In a strained voice, he added, "Anita, have you shown these pregnancy test results to your male friends and besties?"

She defensively replied, "I have never slept with any of my besties, let alone male friends because all of them have girlfriends."

Hassan persisted, asking, "Can you swear with your life that I am the only one you slept with?"

"Babe, please stop talking like this. You're making me feel sad," she pleaded.

Frustrated, Hassan urged her, "You don't have to be sad. It's high time for you to call all your besties and male friends to come forward and let us know who is responsible for the pregnancy because they are all suspects."

Anita tried to steer the conversation back to their relationship. "Babe, can you stop all this, and let's talk about what we should do next?"

Hassan , however, had reached his limit. He declared, "Anita, this discussion is over. Don't ever call me concerning this issue, because I am not the one responsible for the pregnancy. I am leaving."

Shocked and hurt, she pleaded, "Hassan , so you're leaving me? Remember what you promised me a few minutes ago."

Hassan dismissed her with a cold tone, saying, "Don't come to my house. Dey play na."

Hassan 's abrupt departure left her in turmoil. He hadn't just walked away from their relationship; he had shattered the promises of unconditional love and support that he had made just moments earlier.

In the days that followed, Hassan remained firm in his decision to cut ties with her. STORY TITTLE:: INDECISIVE LOVE EPISODE 1

Anita was madly in love with her three boyfriends, loving each of them equally. The depth of her affection for these guys was something else. They were all incredibly caring, lovely, playful and romantic. Anita managed to date all three without any of them knowing about the others. Yet, Anita was seeking a way to break up with two of them to settle down with just one. That was her ultimate goal.
Now, the problem was, Anita couldn't bring herself to hurt the two she would inevitably have to let go.

"It was a difficult situation that had taken a toll on her. These three guys, Bayo, Hassan, and Phillip, were a perfect definition of romance in their own ways."

Anita had managed to date them secretly, keeping each of them blissfully unaware of the others. But now, Anita was at a crossroads, desperately seeking a solution.

She had devised countless tests to measure their commitment, devotion, and to her surprise, they all passed with flying colors. She had been catch up in her own trap of affection, unable to determine who was the right choice. That was until she stumbled upon a desperate plan.

One day, Anita approached her Aunt, a kind-hearted doctor, and revealed her predicament. Anita begged for a fake pregnancy test result, a desperate move to force the hand of fate in her favor. Her Aunt, compassionate but torn, granted her wish.

Upon returning home, Anita had to confront Bayo first. He was the one Anita believed might be the ideal partner for her future. Anita called him urgently and asked him to come over, citing the importance of the discussion. Bayo arrived promptly.

With a pounding heart, Anita began her inquiry, "Bayo, be honest with me. Do you truly love me?"

Bayo's eyes gleamed with sincerity as he responded, "Babe, I swear with my life, I love you so much. The love and feelings I have for you are beyond comparison. Nothing on earth can change my love for you. I am willing to do anything to make you happy."

Emboldened by his declaration, Anita probed further, "Babe, would you stand by me during my hard times?"

With unwavering commitment, Bayo assured her, "I can guarantee you that 100 percent. Remember, I love you unconditionally."

Anita hesitated for a moment before revealing her fabricated test results. Bayo's face contorted in shock as he examined the document. "Babe, you're pregnant? How? When? I don't understand," he stammered.
