We are still in the business of creating beautiful memories.

If you are not going to invest too much or invest anything at all in your wedding, please, invest in photography and videography.

The wedding is for a day or 2 but the pictures are the memories you will freeze in time.

You can cut down on food and decorations, but don't cut down on photography and videography.

Hire at least 2 photographers, one for each side and at least one videographer. Or get a 2-in-1.

BTW, I'm still taking bookings for wedding photography for the rest of the year.

If you are still getting married this year and you are yet to sort out some of the important things like the brand to cover your event, there is high tendency you will be disappointed by whomsoever you choose to handle that.

In other to avoid that, plan ahead, make bookings, send a deposit to secure the slot.

GOD'S SPECIMEN

Sometimes you need to read the scriptures with your mind open.

A certain man was found in a particular place and he was described to have been blind from birth. Although his age wasn't declared I wonder how much frustration and embarrassment he must have suffered from people. Maybe we should drift away from him and take a look at his parent.

The disciples asked Jesus "Who sins?", in other words, the conclusion has been made that the condition of this man must have been a result of someone's sin. Perhaps people have gossiped about the past of the father how he was once a womanizer and has done so many bad things or the mother was once a wayward lady who lives her life carelessly, all these were assumptions that men put together to say that they deserve this blind boy as a gift.

They must have suffered several rejections, embarrassment, and insults from family and friends that made them abandon him to beg in the street and live such a miserable life.

But all these happened so that "THE WORKS OF GOD SHOULD BE MADE MANIFEST IN HIM".

So, All was God's plan, God knew about it, and he was God's specimen to carry out an assignment. he was God's practical to be used by Jesus. Such a life that didn't end till God's will is fulfilled.

Dear friend, God knows about your situation no matter how pathetic it is. Do not think the situation is from the devil, as far as you are a child of God, the devil does not have any access to your life, only God does and he can see that situation, with time your matter will be resolved. You can't die like that, NO!

Sometimes we passed through things so God's work can be manifested through us.

Don't lose hope, Don't lose faith. Your savior is here.

He is a Nigerian novelist and poet, whose writing has won many prizes, including the Caine Prize in 2001.

Helon Habila was born in Nigeria in 1967. He studied literature at the University of Jos and taught at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, before moving to Lagos to work as a journalist. In Lagos he wrote his first novel, Waiting for an Angel, which won the Caine Prize in 2001.
