"Hey, Chris, come over here! Look!" Cynthia whispered excitedly to her brother as they explored the field behind their grandparents' house.

"Look where?" Chris asked. "What do you see?"

"That bird 🐦 up ahead of us! Sh - h - h -h!"
Cynthia's attention was on a little lovely bird 🐦 fluttering frantically on the path ahead.

"Looks like it has a broken wing!" Whispered Chris. "Let's catch it. I bet Grandma can set it's wing so it will heal."
"Good idea," Cynthia agreed.

They walked quietly towards the bird 🐦, but it hobbled away from them, covering the ground quite quickly in spite of it's handicap.
They stood still for a moment, and the bird 🐦 did too.

" Stay put," whispered Chris. "Let me try." He took a few very slow steps towards the bird,then made a quick grab towards it.

The kids were astonished to see it fly off with no sign of weakness or injury.

"That bird wasn't hurt!"exclaimed Cynthia. "I wonder why it acted that way."
"Same here!" Chris cried.
"We need to go tell Grandma about this, maybe she could help telling us more about the bird's actions!" He added.

And immediately, they headed back home.
