Gov. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON Consolidating the Gains of Good Governance and Purposeful Leadership

In the next four years, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's administration will focus on the following key areas:

1- Economic Empowerment and Job Creation:

We shall continue with our ease of doing business policies so as to consolidate our position as the most business-friendly state in Nigeria. These policies are designed to foster conducive business environment, attract investments, and stimulate economic growth. We shall also train and upskill our youth, invest in ICT skills and innovation, and harness our agri-business potentials in order to enhance food security and create employment opportunities.

2- Education and Human Capital Development:

Our administration shall continue with ongoing upgrades of school infrastructure, provision of instructional materials and improving the capacity of our teachers and administrators. We are committed to expanding access to education, particularly for out-of-school childen, girl-child and other marginalized groups, through various initiatives like the Adolescent Girl Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE). We are also committed to enhancing vocational and technical education to align with the needs of the rapidly evolving job market, particularly the agriculture, energy and oil and gas sectors which are fast taking shape in Gombe State, especially with discovery of oil and gas at Kolmani.

3- Healthcare and Social Welfare:

We are going to leverage on Go-Health and GSPCHDA to strengthen healthcare systems and infrastructure in order to ensure accessible and quality healthcare services for all. We shall Improve the capacity of our healthcare professionals by investing in training and capacity building, as well as partner with FG and other relevant stakeholders to implement social welfare programs that support vulnerable groups and alleviate poverty.

4- Infrastructural Development:

We are going to consolidate on our existing achievements by investing in the development of critical infrastructure such as roads, bridges, water supply, and electricity. We shall improve our rural and urban transportation networks, and investing in climate-friendly and sustainable projects. Urban renewal and redevelopment, especially in the State capital and the local government headquarters will be pursued vigorously in order to ensure decent living and also attract the much-needed investment in hospitality and tourism.

5- Good Governance and Accountability:

We shall sustain the principles of people-driven, needs-based and participatory governance by improving our open government policies which enabled us to become one of the top 7 states in the country in the 2022 Transparency and Integrity Index.

The efficient use of public resources through plugging leakages and reducing wastage will foster a culture of meritocracy and inclusivity in governance, thus improving the efficiency of the system.

Let's support the visionary leader with active engagement, constructive feedback to achieve these lofty and ambitious goals.

One of the importance of reproductive health is to protect both the mother and the child from infectious diseases, and death, and ensure to deliver of a healthy baby, hence Legislative Initiative for Sustainable Development (LISDEL), an independent, non-profit organization committed to safeguarding a reality that translates to a decent quality of life for Nigerians is committed to carrying out an advocacy campaign across nooks and crannies of Nigeria, especially the Northern region to raise awareness about the importance of safer reproductive health and child spacing amongst nursing mothers.

Governor Inuwa’s Economic Development in Gombe

Since assuming office in May 2019, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Dan Majen Gombe) has been making significant efforts to improve the economic development of Gombe state. His administration's efforts have focused on creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, developing the state's infrastructure, and improving the living standards of the people.

These efforts have made Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) ranked Gombe state as the number one state in ease of doing business in Nigeria for the year 2021.

One of Governor Yahaya's key economic policies is the development of the Agricultural Sector. The Governor recognizes that Agriculture is the backbone of Gombe State's economy, with about 80% of the population engaged in subsistence farming.

The administration has embarked on several initiatives to improve agriculture in the state, these include the distribution of annual subsidized fertilizers and improved seedlings to farmers, the establishment of Agricultural clusters in all three (3) senatorial districts in the state, and the rehabilitation of irrigation schemes to boost productivity.

Another area of focus for Governor Yahaya is the development of the state's infrastructure. The visionary Governor believes that without adequate infrastructure, economic development would be difficult to achieve. Hence, the introduction of an initiative (Network 11-100) that constructed almost 1000 kilometers of roads across the 11 local government areas of the state.

To this end, his administration has embarked on several infrastructure development projects, these include the rehabilitation and construction of new roads, the construction of bridges, and the improvement of water supply systems plus the expansion of the Gombe water regional supply to hard to reach areas of Tumfure and others.

The government has also made significant investments in the education sector, with the construction of new schools and the rehabilitation of existing ones.

Governor Yahaya's administration has also been focused on promoting private-sector participation in the state's economy. The government has implemented policies aimed at creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, including the simplification of the registration process for businesses and the provision of incentives for investors.

The state government has also established an investment promotion agency to attract both local and foreign investors. the state organized a maiden investment summit ( ) that attracted billions of investments to the state.

In addition to these efforts, Governor Yahaya has also been focused on improving the living standards of the people. He constructed a 1000-hectare Muhammadu Buhari Industrial park in Dadin Kowa that would create thousands of jobs, boost economic growth, improve internal revenue and improve food security.

The government has implemented various social intervention programs, including the distribution of food items and cash transfers to vulnerable households through the Inuwar Alheri women empowerment program where the First Lady of the state empowered over 15,000 women across the 114 wards of the state with 20,000 each.

The administration has also provided affordable healthcare services to the people of Gombe State, with the construction of new general hospitals in Kumo, the renovation of Kaltungo and Funakaye general hospitals, and the rehabilitation of 114 primary healthcare facilities across 114 wards of the state.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya has made significant efforts to improve the economic development of Gombe State. His administration's focus on agriculture, infrastructure development, private sector participation, and improving the living standards of the people has yielded positive results.

The state's economy is now growing as evidently witnessed through the annual report released by the Gombe state Board of internal revenue service and fiscal responsibility commission, and the people of Gombe State are relatively better off than they were before.

Governor Yahaya's efforts serve as an inspiration to other Governors in Nigeria to prioritize economic development and improve the lives of their people through the implementation of effective policies.

Governor Yahaya focused on promoting economic growth and development in Gombe State. He has implemented various programs aimed at creating jobs, stimulating entrepreneurship, and attracting investment to the state.

These efforts have helped to boost the state's economy and improve the standard of living for its people.

The achievements recorded by his Excellency, the Governor of Gombe state, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in a span of just one and the half years in office, is pretty enough to earn his party, the All Progressives Congress - APC massive support and votes on December 19, 2020, Local Government Election.

Do not be surprised when the party clinches all the eleven (11) Local Government Chairmen and one hundred and fourteen (114) councillorship positions of the state. Opposition parties, especially second runner-up, the PDP – would find it very challenging to clinch even a single councillorship position, because the Governor has left no vacuum untouched, for them to capitalize upon.

Albeit, democracy gave an equal opportunity for parties to take part in the electioneering process, but it should have been better, if they give in, early, to save themselves stress, energy, and perhaps financial resources – because they’re fighting an already lost political-battle, APC, with highest supporters in the state, will win all the positions – this I guarantee. In as much as politics is a powerful tool for governance, good governance must not be played with politics, at least, not by any government that hopes to make a difference in the lives of those that elected it to serve them. Nigerians should not raise their voice against any other Nigerian that is being caught red handed in an "International Country" for any condemnable crime they have committed — Instead, We should channel our energy towards admonishing young generation to "Live Within Their Means" and work hard to earn legitimate money. injustice is a threat to justice anywhere in the world.

We should not just because, they're Nigerians, pretend not to have comprehend the gravity and magnitude of what they have committed.

Any Nigerian that deliberately commits a crime deserves no solidarity from us. He should reap what he saw.

Like the way and manner, we will not agree with someone to smuggled in hard drugs into our country, we should also not encourage other people to take drugs to other countries as well.

Any Nigerian that smuggled in Drugs to other country should be apprehended and face the law.
