The commemoration of All Souls
Today, the Church gives us this beautiful opportunity to pray for the dead. It is a wonderful opportunity because the church suffering (the dead) can no longer help themselves, so they rely on the continuous intercession of we called the Church militants, pilgrims on earth battling with the darkness of sin to graduate in to the church triumphant, namely the Saints whom we celebrated yesterday.
This life is a journey and never a permanent destination, we are not citizenson earth but tourists passing through the world, our real treasures are in heaven.
Let us not forget today to pray for our family members and friends who have gone before us to the Father.
May the souls of all the faithful departed, pray for us. Amen
