THE AIM OF PARENTING:1

Parenting aims to give your children so much love and affection that they're full inside. This way, they will never accept anybody who brings them down. They will measure their relationships against that standard you set, and they will detect fraudsters of love very early.

But if they leave home hungry for love, they will clamor for just anyone to fill the gap. And since they lap up any kind of attention, who do they end up with? Swindlers and other emotional fugitives.

It's a disaster for a child to grow up with an absent parent because the wrong people will notice that gap and take advantage of it. Alternatively, the child will avoid all connections, and feelings unworthy of love because the parent never loved them.

Isn't it a scary thought that you can mess up your child by just looking away? Even if you've already provided them with material things like a good home and school fees, their need for love remains separate and deep-seated.

Perhaps if you try to pour love into your children and cater to their emotional needs as you should, you will stop being so casual about parenting and creating children without careful consideration of the immense responsibility it comes with.
