*2023: ENUGU RESIDENTS JUBILATES AS ODENGENE PEOPLE'S MOVEMENT ORGANIZED A CONFERENCE

_Charity Begins At Home Conference_

Since the emergence of the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi as the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, people from within and across Nigeria have been drumming total support in one way or the other towards the success of his Presidential aspiration. This, they have being doing, not really because he's from the South Eastern part of the country but, on the basis of Justice, equity, fairness and also competency on his own side which has been proven from his track record before and during his reign as the Governor of Anambra State.

In a bid to contribute their own quota towards the actualisation of to this dream, on Saturday, 27th August, 2022, the supporters of the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, under the umbrella of Odengene People's Movement lead a Walk and Shout for road show and subsequent conference for Peter Obi for Obi-Datti which they tagged "Charity Begins At Home". The reason for the Conference according to OPM is because Nigerians have been unanimously galvanizing support for Peter Obi across the 36states, hence the brothers of Peter Obi shouldn't be at the back bench of the struggle. If other people should be campaigning for Obi, Igbos shouldn't be left out. It's of utmost importance that the Igbos especially in Enugu State constitute greater percentage of votes for Peter Obi.

The Conference which Started with a Walk and Shout for Obi from Okpara square, Enugu was so exceptional as it drew the physical presence of mammoth crowd while also leaving Enugu residents with jubilation and excitement as they were all shouting that "Peter Obi Must Win".

All the youths, men and women who went for the rally affirmed in their various placards that Peter Obi is the rightful candidate for the Presidential seat. One of them, Mr Emma Aneke while responding to the press, stated that "We're highly optimistic that Peter Obi will restore the dignity 9f Nigeria while still changing the narrative".

It was really an exciting moment yesterday as the *National Officials of Labour Party were fully on ground from the beginning till the end.*

It ended with a conference at Kobb Event center, Polo park, Enugu.

In his speech while at the conference, Chief Odengene emphasizing that the conference is about a reawakening; for Igbos to wake up and speak out. As he was elaborating on the theme which is "Charity Begins At Home", he made mention that has made himself readily available to lead Enugu people through as they galvanize support for Peter Obi. This he said will show the people of Nigeria that they're really passionate about having the right person on seat.

"Charity Begins At Home, Nigerians have found one of us competent to lead the nation and we cannot be at the back bench. We must be at the forefront and hence we need someone who can take the lead so as to enable us galvanize grassroot support across the 260 wards in our state", said Odengene.

Governor Ugwuaanyi's aide *Comr. Nebo Ebube Samuel,* on October, 2021 gifts a widow in Obinofia Ndi Agu in Ezeagu LGA of Enugu State a new house of three bedroom, pallor, KIT toilet/bathroom. Nebo Ebube who is a special assistant to Enugu State Governor on Poverty Alleviation, president of Agbaja Youth General Assembly, president of Enugu West Peace Forum, tagged the project *"IN GOD'S NAME- GBURUS TOUCH"*

This vision bearer who's the founder of IN GOD'S NAME FOUNDATION (lifting others with love) has contributed in his capacity towards eradication on Poverty, encouragement of learning and other humanitarian services.

"We took up the project on August, 15th 2021 and completed it on September 3rd 2021. Gov. Ugwuaanyi's administration has touched lives of the Enugu indigens positively and will continue to do so" he said.

The widow, appreciated this vision Bearer *Comr. NEBO EBUBE.* While commending Governor Ugwuaanyi's administration, she added that Enugu State is truly in the hands of God.
