Great interview tips that works.

Applying for a job and being invited for an interview is a joyful thing.

But it becomes very painful when you fail to secure that job because you didn't prepare well for the interview.

Follow these tips to scale that interview:

*Make some research about the company.

This will help you to be grounded on what the company is into.

* Read the job posting over and over to know exactly what they are looking for.

* Be on time.

Always endeavour to login atleast 10 minutes before the time for the interview.

* Always wear a smiling face and be confident.

This will help you to be relaxed and show the interviewer that you know your onions.

* Answer your questions citing examples from past clients.

This goes a long way in showing the interviewer you have some working experience in the field.

* Ask questions.

Be creative and ask intelligent questions.

* Always thank the interviewer for the opportunity and assure him/her that you will bring in your best when you come onboard.

Many people use to feel that once we enter November that the year has almost ended.

Yes, we have two months to the end of the year.

That is not the reason why you should relent in still searching for that job.

Or in submitting the proposals for those contracts.

As a matter of fact, some companies staff up for the next year in November and December.

I have not hit my target for the year, so I am still working as hard as I have always did.

I encourage you to do same.

A lot can happen in two months.

Don't relent, tighten your seat belt for the journey has not ended yet.

I got three rejections in a week😩

Sometime ago, in the month of March, I had only one client.

And the pay wasn't so good.

So, I made it a point of duty to apply for as many jobs as possible.

I got two invites on upwork in one week.

One was a general virtual assistant role, the other was a cold calling role.

I filled the long form for the general VA role, with an introductory video link.

The interview for the cold calling role was more like a conversation.

From the way the interviewer sounded, I was 80% confident of getting the role.

The next day, I got a mail that the VA role was given to another person.

I also got a message on upwork that they needed someone with more experience for the cold calling role😭

A role someone referred me for on LinkedIn was given to someone in their locality😢

All in one week💔

Did I feel bad?

Yes, I did.
I am human.

Did I quit?

NO!

Has there been an improvement?

A lot😊

What changed?

I kept my head high and continued applying for jobs.

I have worked on some gigs since then and have gotten amazing reviews too.

Don't give up on your goals.

Keep pushing until you attain success✌️

Since I started writing about my masterclass, many people have been making inquiries about the training, which is a normal thing to do.

Do this if you want to increase your productivity!

Working round the clock does not guarantee productivity.

It is painful when you feel you are working hard without seeing results.

Follow these tips to be more efficient at your work:

🌹 Effective time management: Prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency.

🌹 Prioritize self-care: Eat right, sleep well, exercise regularly and laugh well too 😂

🌹 Minimize ditractions: Take away your phone and other things that could distract you while working.

🌹 Take regular breaks: This helps to refresh the mind.

🌹 Take some fresh air:Go outside, take in fresh air, hold your breathe for some minutes, breathe out.

Repeat the cycle for some time.

This is good for your lungs.

🌹Delegate: Hire me to take care of your repetitive tasks that take up your productive time😊

Two years ago, I was broke and clueless.

Being a wife and not having something tangible to do could be frustrating.

After I searched for job in Abuja without finding any, I decided to resort to doing business.

I tried my hands on many businesses, ranging from beddings, thrift night wears, meat pies and hairs(still rebranding this one).

All were just for survival.

None actual gave me enough money to cater for my needs.

When I started my journey in the tech space, many things changed about me:

After my service year, I found it difficult securing a job.

During my serving year, I was living a comfortable life.

The company where I worked paid us allowances and the federal government also gave us our monthly allawee🤣

So, I had enough money to take care of myself and also give my siblings.

But after signing out from the Youth Service Corps, everything changed.

The people that promised me job disappointed me😩

The offices where I went looking for job turned me down.

Reason: I didn't have any digital skill but had only my University certificate.

I was pained.

So, I got determined to acquire digital skills.

Today, the narrative has changed🤣

I am now a rockstar Executive Assistant that supports CEOs, business owners and busy individuals.

I earn good amount of money in both local and foreign currencies.

I can take care of my needs without disturbing my husband.

It is indeed a good feeling💃
