*Gov Radda Clinches Best Governor on SME Development Award*
The Executive Governor of Katsina State, HE Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD, has been crowned the Best Governor on SME Development at the prestigious 2024 National MSME Conference.
The award is an accolade for the Governor's commitment to fostering a thriving small and medium enterprise ecosystem.
The award, a testament to Governor Radda's innovative policies and support for SMEs, was presented by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anike and received by Hajia Aisha Aminu Abdullahi Malumfashi, Director General of Katsina State Enterprises Development Agency (KASEDA), at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.
This recognition follows closely on the heels of the MSME Finance Award bestowed upon the Governor last month by the Economic Forum Series in partnership with Nairametrics and DiGiComm.
The National MSME Conference '24, a brainchild of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) under the leadership of Director General Charles Odii, serves as a melting pot for entrepreneurs, policymakers, and stakeholders in Nigeria's SME landscape.
This convergence of minds provides a platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, and growth in the sector.
The event drew an impressive array of dignitaries, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's representative, Secretary Government of the Federation Sen. George Akume; Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite; Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa; German Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Annet Gunther and the UNDP Resident Representative, Elsie Attafuah.
The presence of industry titans such as Hakeem Belo-Osagie and Tony Elumelu further highlighted the conference's significance in shaping the future of SMEs in Nigeria and beyond.
