`REMINDER`

Alhamdulillah, the month of Rajab has begun! With only two months left until Ramadan, let's make a conscious effort to make up any missed fasts, insha'Allah.

May Allah ﷻ grant us steadfastness and count us among the righteous during this blessed period, and may we be prepared to make the most of Ramadan when it arrives.

`اللهم بلغنا رمضان . آمين!✨`

*DU'ĀA BEFORE SLEEPING🍂*

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

*"When anyone of you goes to bed, he should dust it off thrice with the edge of his garment, and say:*

« بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّ وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، إِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لَهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ »

_Bismika Rabbi wada'tu janbi, wa bika arfa'uhu. In amsakta nafsi faghfir laha, wa in arsaltaha fahfazha bima tahfazu bihi 'ibadakas-salihin_

*In Your Name O Lord, I put my side (on the bed), and in Your (Name) I will rise (from) it. If You should capture my soul, then forgive it; and if You should release it, protect it with what You protect Your righteous slaves."*

I started praying Istikhara that night. I so desperately wanted it to work out. I remembered so many years ago when the life of another woman depended on my decision and what my decision was. I felt contrite, I felt that because I did not give another woman a chance, a space in my life, that Allah will punish me this time around.

I repented, not once in my life did I think my action worthy of repentance because I had done nothing wrong. I only protected what was mine. Now that I am on the receiving end, I realized how wrong I was in denying another woman this PRIVILEGE of a husband. I prayed that she will accept me.

He phoned me a few days later telling me that his wife is having a hard time accepting it but that she is willing to meet me.

I was nervous the day of the meeting. I prayed a lot the day before and asked Allah to help me. When I met her, she was a person, a woman like me. A woman who loves her husband and fears losing him.

She took my hand and with tears in her eyes said: “This is very hard for me, but I hope that we can be sisters” her words broke my heart.

All I needed in these dark days was a hand reaching out to me and embracing me, giving me hope and the will to carry on. His wife was to me, the woman that I could not be and I will be forever grateful for that. I thought that no one could love her husband the way I loved mine, but she taught me the true meaning of unconditional love.

You never know a person’s situation until you are in it. Judge by what is right according to Qu’ran and you will see how Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala will send double fold of blessings your way.”

SUBHANALLAH !!!🥰

_Marriage is a battle ground where you fight almost everytime but at the end, you still fix up things. A marriage without misunderstanding is not a marriage. Misunderstanding makes marriages stronger and don't let a little misunderstanding in your marriage drive you to divorce._

_Marriage is not a weekend vacation full of happiness and joy; it's a long term battle. Every smiling couple You See, have a hidden *misunderstanding and problems they've overcome*, so don't think it's only you going through difficulties in your marriage._

_Even the prophet used to have problems with his wives and days will go by without him having a proper conversation with them. Do you remember what happened when the mother of the believers, Aishah was wrongly accused? What happened?_

_If the prophet who is the best of creation and the most beloved human to Allah could have misunderstanding and challenges in his marriage, then who are you?_

That's why nobody is happy in marriages nowadays.

True marraige is built on character and personal relationship with Allah.

1. Sometimes it takes just a simple apology to save your marriage

2. Sometimes your spouse will not apologize in the exact way that you want an apology to come, accept the apology all the same

3. Buying gifts, taking your spouse on a date, cooking your spouse's favourite meal is not an apology. You have to speak it or write it to acknowledge your wrong. Don’t gloss over the offense with money or good times, your spouse will feel bribed

4. Apologize to your spouse, not because you are sure you did wrong; but because your spouse perceives you did wrong. Care about how your spouse feels

5. Do not overapologize constantly saying sorry for the same thing especially when your spouse has forgiven you. Apologize then start talking about new things

6. Don’t say an apology with an attitude "I am sorry then if that will make you feel better". This doesn’t show sincerity

7. If something is a habit, be prepared in the event that your spouse repeats the same mistake after apologizing. It might take a while to fully change. What matters is do you see effort in him/her to do better? Be patient

8. Apologize for the times when you hurt your spouse in reaction to your spouse hurting you. Don’t feel entitled to hurt your spouse just because you're mad at what he/she has done

9. When you are apologizing, be specific about what you are apologizing for. "I am sorry for what I said in the morning my Love". Don’t give a general "Sorry"

10. Don’t be too proud to apologize, don't be too proud to accept an apology. In marriage, you will step on each other, learn to reconcile and keep on dancing

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

*"The five (daily) prayers and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiations for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sins."*

📖Sahih Muslim 233

Jabir رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ narrated that Prophet ﷺ said:

*"Friday is comprised of twelve hours. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allāh for something will have it granted to him. So Seek it in the last hour after `Asr.”*
