Audition
Auditions hold once every quarter beginning from 28th-30th April 2011. The audition is a process to assess the competence level of the intending artist in his/her chosen area of interest. There is no failure at the auditions. Everyone has a category to fall into.
Categorisation
There are four basic categories you may fall into after the auditions. These are:
1. The SetUP level (70 and above) Industry ready
2. The TuneUp level (50 - 69) 3 months training
3. The StepUp level (30 – 49) 6 months training; and
4. The Foundation level (0 – 29) 1 year training.
If your competence level is very high, that is, 70 and above, you will immediately be recommended by the audition panel for sign-on under our talent management agency. It is believed that at this level you are ready for a career.
Those who score between 50 – 69 are advised to undergo a TuneUp training for three months after which we believe they will be industry-ready. The StepUp category is too average to compete in the industry hence, the recommended six months training to step up their skills and upgrade to SetUp level.
The Foundation stage means that either by reason of several factors, the individual is not able to showcase his/her talent. This category of people need one year training to get good preparation in their areas of interests.
Counseling
Furthermore, the OpenStage also offers counseling services for intending artists. Sometimes, most people do not really appreciate the talents they possess. It usually takes an artistic Sage to see beyond the ordinary and locate the talent and individual is endowed with. Some people love acting meanwhile modeling is just the right space for them.
