The funeral service for the late Nollywood actor, John Odonwodo, popularly called Junior Pope, has commenced at St. Peter's Catholic Parish, Ukehe, in Enugu State.

The 43-year-old actor died alongside four others on April 10 when their boat capsized in the Anam River while returning from a movie shoot.

His family had earlier revealed that he would be laid to rest on May 17 in his Uwala Abaka, Ukehe hometown, in Nsukka, Igboetiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Many Ladies Can't Cook At 28, Mike Bamiloye Laments Scarcity Of 'Wife Materials'

The Founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, has expressed concern about young people who prioritise wedding ceremonies over preparation for marriage.

In a post on his page on Wednesday, Bamiloye criticised a trend of young couples rushing into marriage without adequate knowledge or skills.

He wrote, "I am so afraid of youths of this generation. Many are not preparing enough to enter into marriage. Many are very shallow in their knowledge of marriage. They prepare more for the wedding day, than for marriage. No deep studies on what marriage entails. They are too hasty and not ready to sit down and learn the principles of marital life.

"Many ladies are not qualified to be wives, even at 28. They can't cook properly. They are used to fast food at the eateries, ice cream, indomie, and spagetti, plus boiled eggs and titus, and they spend six months studying the wedding gowns and the accessories for the bridal trails."

A report has disclosed that Nigeria is the 22nd country with the cheapest petrol price across the globe, adding that the majority of nations paying over 100 times more for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

The new report titled ‘Global Petrol Prices, Octane-95, January 1, 2024’, published on its website added that richer countries have higher prices of fuel than the poorer ones.
