You must have probably known me earlier, but many things have changed over the years.

So, let's do a proper introduction.

𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆?

My name is Innocent Chinonso Egwuoba popularly known as The Manuscript Pastor. I am a professional Nonfiction Book Editor, Book Formatter, Ghostwriter, Book Project Consultant, Award-winning Writer and Digital Skill Trainer.

Beyond the talent, I am professionally skilled in polishing raw manuscripts to become powerful books.

Apart from that, I have a strong passion for God, personal development and digital literacy.

Born and raised in Anambra West, Anambra State of Nigeria, I am currently studying Mass Communication at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

Apart from Book Editing, most of my writings and talks center on personal development, life clarity and intimacy with God, which aim at making young people realize their potentials, mature their minds, gain clarity and achieve excellence and independence in the modern world.

By God's grace, I am the founder and manager of the brand BEYOND EDUCATION AFRICA - BE Africa — a fast growing brand that aims at empowering young Africans with practical digital entrepreneurial skills that work in real life and keep them independent and relevant in the modern world.

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀?

I have worked as the youngest school teacher in De-Great Model Secondary School, Onitsha where I taught English Language and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). I am currently working as the Chief Editor of RaveBase Media. I've volunteered and served in many other areas related to what I do in different organisations.

Over the years, I have held over 300 individuals by the hand and made them intentional creators, especially in the area of content writing.

Through my online trainings, social media posts, videos, books, writings, tutorials and talks in various online and offline platforms, transformations are recorded and we are still on it, helping young people and writers gain clarity, achieve their goals and live purposefully.

I edit in the two languages in which I am exceptionally proficient — English and Igbo.

☑️ It may be a weakness: I am not a jolly jolly (partie) type. If there's no impact or value, I am the wrong person to be with.

☑️ I am a MelChlor in temperament, that's primarily Melancholy and secondarily Choleric.

☑️ At your first contact with me, you may find it boring being around me, but get to enjoy my company with time as you draw closer to me. I don’t show off easily.

☑️ If you want to punish me, give me a too hot food or too cold water.

☑️ Earpiece is my girlfriend. 😁 𝘌 𝘯𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘢𝘳. I am either listening to a song or I am on an audio sermon almost everywhere, as long as I am not too busy with any serious mental activity.

One of the resolutions I made in the beginning of this year is to upgrade my skill by continuously learning complementary skills related to my industry.

When I made up my mind to go fully into nonfiction book editing, I didn't just stop there.

I kept on learning new related skills and improving in my old skills in order to remain ahead of my game.

Since the beginning of February, I have been learning professional book formatting.

As a book editor, I know I need the skill in order to serve my clients better.

I know how it feels to be stressed in the look out for external book formatter after editing a book.

So, as you are employing me now as your book editor, you don't need to start looking for a formatter anymore because I'll be handling both for you effectively.

When it comes to book editing, excellence is my watchword.

I was awarded the best writer of the year in my institution and department lately last year when I was still a fresher in the university.

Before I won this award, I've tried so many others both intra and inter university but didn't win any.

So when I saw this one, although reluctant about it in the onset, I decided to still give it a try and that was it. God did it.

Sometimes, where we expect our breakthrough to come from may not be where God wants it to come from.

Some courageous actions that you refuse to take may be the breakthrough you are praying for.

So, keep on taking those courageous steps.

I was opened up to a deeper understanding today.

Many people get confused when it comes to differentiating between knowledge, understanding and wisdom.

What is actually the difference between the 3?

Are thet actually the same thing?

My pastor clarified something today that simplifies the ambiguity:

Knowledge is information.

Understanding is comprehension.

Wisdom is the RIGHT application of information.

There's a divine wisdom. That's the wisdom of God.

"Divine Wisdom is the agreement of the spirit of God and his word to bring about right judgment."
~ Pst Emmanuel Okonkwo

The creative ability of God is found in His wisdom.

The wisdom of God makes common things uncommon and admirable.

It makes you stand out in the market place.

As a writer, it gives you an edge over others no matter how saturated the market is

Anybody can sing; nybody can sow; anybody teach; anybody can write; anybody can trade, but when the wisdom of God rests on your skill, you're made.

Gives you problem-solving ability.

It makes you solve the problems of kings. And that's when you become relevant.

Let's not forget: the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

And any wisdom outside God is coming to nothing. (1st Cor 2:6)

Some of my friends have always asked me "Innocent, why is it that you must see an error in every content I write, even after editing it thoroughly?"

I smile and tell them that I couldn't even explain but it's kind of natural to me.

One strength (talent) embedded in my MelChlor temperament that has always found expression is ATTENTION TO DETAILS.

Each time I take a look at any written work, beyond the general message, my eyes will first go to the structural arrangement, typo errors and grammatical errors in it.

You see some kinds of writing, poem, songs, etc, they carry their spirits.

Some people don't just write for fun.

Some don't compose songs just for fun.

Same with poetry.

Sometimes, you cannot just resist them.

At a point, I'd say "I don't want to write again."

Another thing, a message flies in and something begins to push me and push me uncontrollably.

"Oya pick up your pen and write on that topic."

"Pass that message now. Someone out there needs it!"

"Oya write that song!"

"Record it now. Don't let that sound go. Record it now!"

"Write the poem now! Go! Do it now!"

So, you'd see me in a midst of noisy people or environment where others are busy learning or dancing, and I'd be busy writing or recording a song.

Or see me seriously staring at you, and you'd be like "Innocent, what did I do to you? Why are you looking at me like that? Is anything wrong with my dressing or what I'm saying (depending on the scenario)?"

But honestly, I'm seeing and hearing something else, not you. A sound (or another idea) is uncontrollably seeking expression.

Only I and God know how many songs I've caught in recording now that I've not worked on.

Sometimes, a part of a song comes, and another complete part will drop after some weeks, months, a year or more.

It has its 'Agu'.

Just like addiction or maybe what they call Obsessive-compulsive Disorder in Psychology.

And sometimes, if I feel reluctant and try to wave it off, I will remain restless throughout that period of time. So, people around will be seeing me acting strange — suddenly become moody or overexcited.

I can still remember what it took me to give up poetry. I'd say I won't write any poem again, and the next day, I'd see myself finishing a fresh poem. 😁

Although I suppressed it into songwriting. I didn't abort it entirely.

So, sometimes, you may see me on spoken word too. (Just talking shah)

But it will always seek a medium to find expression.

I can say, it's not just ordinary.

That's why some musicians behave abnormal or strange sometimes.

There's something pushing them.

Just allow them that atmosphere to pour what they have at the moment.

So, I've decided to spend the remaining part of my year with this powerful book, "Why You Act The Way You Do" by Tim Lahaye.

The name sounds like one ancient powerful book nwenu that I've been hearing for years. 🤔

And trust me: every minute is a new discovery.

It discusses temperament.

This temperament is what I've been hearing for a long time without taking time to really study it.

It's quite unfortunate how I'd not known my primary temperament till yesterday. 🤦

But thank God for my roommate. He feels our room with powerful books --- the ones I've been trying to buy myself.

I can now primarily tell you that I'm a MelChlor (combination of Melancholy (primary) and Choleric (secondary).

So I had to make a selection between this one and the other interesting (I presupposes) one, "Think Like An Entrepreneur, Act Like A CEO"

I'm loving this one, eziokwu 😁

I'm getting to know and understand myself better. I think it's more important, right?

I've jokingly (but that's true) told people around me, "you want to fully know Innocent? You're joking! He doesn't even fully know himself!"

I believe on finishing it now, I'd get to know why I act the way I do. 😊

I bought myself 21K Christmas gift with my last card.

I can't wait for 2024 to come.

Use these remaining part of the year to plan your 2024.

Create your goals.

Put up strategies that will make you achieve them.

Upgrade yourself.

You may have to go and print your bank statement and know where most of your money went to.

Assess them properly.

How did you manage people and relationships God brought to your life?

How can you make it right in 2024?

Assess them.

How consistent have you been in improving and building yourself — your mental capacity?

How do they contribute to your destiny?
