As part of the activities of the Youth Symposium to mark YESS @3, our book “Partners In Nation Building: An Advocacy Document for Youth Development in Nigeria” would be unveiled and ready for a grab.

Undertaking this book project has been truly challenging, but enriching. The idea to commence this book project came from Dr Nelson Omenugha, the Convener of Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo (now Solution), Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Youth Empowerment Programme and one of the editors of the book.

In ex*****on, some answer-focused and upwardly mobile members of the movement were assembled and mobilized to assemble materials, undertake study, and harmonize raw ideas. They are Dr Henry Duru (co-editor), Blaise Ezeokeke, C. U. Okeke Esq, Dr Chibueze Ofobuike, Chigozie Akwanwa, Chinedu Ononiwu, Ejimofor Opara, Gabriel Alonta, Ify Aronu-Okafor, Nkechi Udegboka, Oputa Ugochukwu, Prince Nwakanze, and Richard Francis Apeh. We appreciate the team for a job well done.

The symposium takes place on Friday, 19th August, 2022 at Hollywood events place (near the Government House), by 10am.

KINGDOM OF THE MASK hones in on the precise conflicted relationship between Odili, the idealist and politician by accident, and Chief M.A. Nanga, who epitomises the corrupt politics and graft that was the order of the day in 60s Nigeria. Both novel and play end on a note of Hope and scepticism; hope that the nation may have a chance of becoming viable under a new dispensation with the sweeping away of the corrupt political elite and scepticism that the people themselves allow such graft and corruption to continue by their cynicism, collusion and willing participation in the politics of ‘chop-make-I-chop’
