While teaching JSS1 gold today, I told them I was married while introducing myself. One of the students said " ma re you sure? You are so young.

One minute later, she came up to me and asked "how old are you ma?". I whispered to her "24". She replied me "you look a lot younger than 24".

Na where I go dey receive this kind of compliments una go dey see me now. Any other thing- I didn't dey!

Was about to open and eat these before I 'badmouthed' my sister on our sisters'group chat and she replied me " mumu roast it before eating.

We should have stuck to eating the groundnut we know but doctor said "almonds are healthier ".

Hello anonymous.
I would love to be very realistic and less emotional with you cos I am a person who stammers as well. There is no advice on how to STOP stammering. You even said therapies didn't help you stop stammering, this is because they are not designed to.

I have a little advice:
Do not be mindful of what people will say or think when you stammer cos it will make you stammer more. I am a girl who stammers, you should know what that can do to the image of a fine girl but I didn't let the stigma get a hold.

Begin to see your stammer as a friend not an enemy. Do you know why most students fail maths in school and later realize it's not a difficult subject? It's because they hate either the subject or the teacher.

As a person who stammers or stutters who also creates contents about it on YouTube and other platforms, I am privileged to sometimes see someone be vulnerable to me about their stammer.

I had one comment on one of my videos, it reads " stammering is affecting my life seriously 😭". I reached out to her asking if there's a way I could help. Haven't gotten a reply but I am setting up to film a "help guide" for her at 1am. I know how it is, I am her go-to person.

I wanted to edit my first YouTube videos, change the thumbnails, add touchups yo make them look less beginner- like. It was a good idea till a thought said "how then would you appreciate growth? What memories would you hang on to in time to come?"

The first time I ate dog meat was in 2013. I was living with my grandparents and the nwunye catechist (she lives beside my grandparents) decided that it was time to eat her dog since it was so grown and she was afraid that dog-theives would soon come for the dog. The dog was very healthy, ekuke but very healthy, o mara abuba.

I actually had a taste of the deliciousness in the pot before my grandma told me was I had swallowed. I had mixed feeling but I couldn't deny the meat was good. It is normal for people from my place to eat the meat, I am yet to see a meat people from my place forbid eating.

Also, I do have an inlaw who is from Akwaibom, same state as our lovely Hilda. I had one time attended an eve cultural party with him(Akwa Cross culture). I came with full expectancy- a good much of their local delicacy 'dogmeat' and they didn't fail.

It is customary in the Akwaibom culture that they go with a cooler of dog meat whenever they go outside their tribe to marry. They did bring a cooler when they came to marry my Adanne. Oh, dog meat is underated.

So what's the storm about? A young lady eats the delicacy of her home and she should be afraid of loosing a prestige she earns? I asked someone today, can Africans really be vegans? Can an Igbo man really be vegan? Should I narrate how the umuada owns the waist of the goat given to my kin during my marital rites or how you cannot serve titled Igbo man food without animal proteins?

Can y'all let us be us? 404 is dog meat, so you are sure you haven't tasted it?

The sight of seeing people who managed to clean their living spaces immaculately, say they have OCDis almost blinding.

A young lady washes her bathroom and arranges her skincare products, she says "she does that because she has OCD".

A young man arranges his room so he can think clearly, he says his "OCD" won't let him otherwise.

It's not OCD y'all. It's just regular cleaning etiquette. The way some people diagnose themselves of a disorder they barely know about is wowing. So not having "OCD" entails living dirty? The fact you cleaned your house makes you a sane human being, not a person living with OCD. Don't abuse the disorder, it's a real life issue!

I am EzinneTalks, a YouTuber on Stammering, Storytelling and Lifestyle. I love to tell stories and show/ write about my life cos it's unique.

Do not think I am a speech therapist, I am not. I do know know a thing about speech therapy but I know a lot about loving yourself and getting comfortable with your stammer cos who else can relate if not one of us?

I used to not like waking up in the morning while growing up so I don't join in the morning rosary, (yes I was catholic). It didn't work tho my mom was a fanatic and head of house so we would all wake at past five to pray before she leaves for morning mass with me.

Five decades was our usual, and since we were four siblings around with my mom - five, five decades would go round. I stammered hard whenever it was my turn and my mom at point thought I was being naughty. She bought me a cane.

I then learnt to take the last part of the decade but did I? Here's what I did, I would want for the fourth person to recite midway and then I would get up, go to the toilet and stay so when it's my turn, someone else would take it, master plan! My mom still did outdid me and I stuck to stammering so hard during prayers.

Come to think of it now, it because of the recitation. I do h.ate to recite or read verbatim, it gives me no room for flexibility or synonym usuage.

As I prayed this morning, it was alot relational with my maker, I had the choice to use words as I love, worship in between and when it strike, I pray in the Holyghost too.

Know what makes your fear trembles and trade your time for some, you will know power and Good morning!
