*GOD'S WORD FOR TODAY*

🗓️ *MONDAY (24/3/2025)*

*TOPIC: AVENGE ME OF MY ADVERSARIES OHLORD!*

📖 Luke 18:1-8, Psalm 94:1-23

⚓ Luke 18:7

[7] *And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?*

God is our defense! God is our avenger. We have earthly judges to whom we cry to for vengeance and their judgment is final! Our heavenly Father is our judge. He doesn't judge in partiality but He's compassionate.
In our opening scripture, the widow had no one else so she had to cry to the judge and she got vengeance. We have the highest judge to cry to. Hallelujah! He has given us His constitution (BIBLE ) to follow and as long as we are on HIS side (RIGHTEOUS), He takes over our battles

📖 *Psalm 94:1 KJV*
*[1] O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.*

If in life, as we go about our daily activities, we come across oppressors/oppression, we should cry to our God to whom vengeance belongs. He is the Mighty man of war! HE can never be defeated in any battle. Anyone that comes against HIM is crushed, anyone HE comes against is grounded to powder. Awesome!

📖 Isaiah 49:24-26 KJV
*[24] Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? [25] But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. [26] And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.*

What a great ASSURANCE.
Trust HIM to deliver you and HE will! Trust HIM to defend you and HE will. Trust HIM to cover you and he will. They that put their trust in HIM are never disappointed.

*Pray now 🙏*
*🎵 🎶: Jehovah is your name (2x). Mighty Warrior, great in battle. Jehovah is your name*.

1. Thank you Lord my defender! Thank you for making me alive this day.
2. Today, oh Lord, I receive all the benefits you have marked out for me in Jesus name amen.
3. Arise Oh Lord against my adversaries that rise up against me by day and night. Every oppressor that has taken a mandate over me shall never succeed in Jesus name amen.
4. Hide me under your wings. Hide me oh Lord from my enemies and smite them with blindness oh Lord
5. Contend with them that contend against me oh Lord! Take over this battle (mention the battles you are facing) in Jesus name amen.

*Intercessory prayer:*
Lord I pray for all those experiencing stagnation in their financial lives. Let the river of finance flow again for them according to your mercy in Jesus name amen .

Shalom 🚿 Jesus loves you. Go forth and bring forth in Jesus name amen.

2025.... Our season of expansion

NOW THE NEWS IN DETAIL............................

The Supreme Court, on Friday, restored Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

According to Vanguard, the apex court, in a unanimous decision by a five-member panel, vacated the concurrent verdicts of the Federal High Court and Court of Appeal in Enugu, which sacked him from office.

In the lead judgement that was delivered by Justice Jamilu Tukur, the apex court held that the two lower courts were bereft of the jurisdiction to dabble into domestic affairs of a political party that was not justiciable.

Consequently, the Supreme Court panel affirmed the minority judgement of the appellate court which nullified the decision of the trial court on account of lack of jurisdiction.
...........END.....................

A Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja, Kogi State, has issued an interim injunction restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from acting on a petition seeking to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The Nation reported that the court barred INEC and its officials from receiving or processing any petition containing alleged fake signatures from supposed constituents of Kogi Central Senatorial District or conducting a referendum based on such a petition.

This ruling comes amid allegations that the recall effort was secretly backed by a close associate of Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Akpoti-Uduaghan has previously accused Akpabio of sexual harassment.
..........END......................

Security forces in Kogi State have launched an extensive search operation to rescue passengers abducted along the Obajana-Kabba highway, the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) for Zone 8, Abubakar Zubairu, and the Kogi State Commissioner of Police (CP), Miller Dantawaye, have confirmed.

Dantawaye stressed the police are doing everything possible to locate the 18-seater bus kidnapped alongside the passengers.

The police bosses, who led armed policemen to the scenes of the attack on Friday, vowed to make the state too hot for criminals, The Guardian reported.

They emphasized the need for intelligence-driven security strategies to dismantle criminal networks effectively.
.........END.......................

Constitutional lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, SAN, has condemned the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, describing it as a civilian coup d’état.

Ozekhome argued that the suspension of the democratically elected governor, deputy governor, and the entire State House of Assembly is unconstitutional.

He emphasised that the allocation of state funds from the Federation Account to a sole administrator is also illegal, as it contradicts a Supreme Court judgment.

Ozekhome further explained that the 1999 Constitution (as amended) is explicit that Section 305, which grants the President powers to declare a state of emergency, does not authorize the removal or suspension of an elected governor.
.........END......................

Media personality Frank Edoho has intervened in the ongoing dispute between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and former manager, Eeezee Concepts, urging the public to prioritise facts over emotions.

Edoho addressed widespread claims surrounding the case, emphasising that Nigerians often rely on narratives rather than factual evidence.

He revealed that contrary to speculation, Chinwo had not avoided an audit, as two separate financial reviews had already been conducted.

Regarding allegations that the EFCC coerced or mistreated EeeZee, Edoho dismissed such claims, stating that the process was transparent.

He explained that the EFCC had invited EeeZee for questioning and a second audit was conducted, revealing that he owed Chinwo money.

*Now The News In Detail*

The Senate has approved President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s proclamation of a state of emergency in Rivers State, exercising its constitutional powers under the amended 1999 Constitution.

The Senate also approved the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

This approval grants President Tinubu the authority to enforce emergency measures while requiring a review of the situation at any time, but no later than six months.

In accordance with the Constitution, the National Assembly has also formed a joint committee from both chambers to oversee the administration of affairs in Rivers State during the emergency period.

*................END................*

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is wrong to have suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State and Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu.

In a statement he personally released, El-Rufai pointed out that the Nigerian Constitution does not support the suspension of a governor by the president.

According to him, it is dangerous to our system of democratic federalism for an elected president to assume and exercise powers to suspend elected officials at the State level.

*................END................*

President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, March 20, lauded the National Assembly for its decisive and patriotic ratification of the State of Emergency proclamation in Rivers State, a critical step to restoring stability after a protracted political crisis that paralysed governance in the state and endangered national economic security for over 15 months.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu specifically commended the National Assembly’s leadership—Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, other principal officers and members for ‘’prioritising the security and welfare of Rivers State people above partisan interests and other considerations.''

The President further acknowledged the lawmakers’ ‘’diligent review of classified security briefings, underscoring the urgent need for intervention to prevent further escalation.''

*................END................*

Director-General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu has announced that all corps members would be credited with their new monthly allowance of N77,000 effective from March, 2025.

Brig.-Gen. Nafiu said the Scheme and Federal Government are responsive to corps members’ welfare and would continue to ensure that their well-being was accorded maximum priority at all times.

The NYSC D-G disclosed this on Thursday while interacting with corps members in Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja.

General Nafiu, who thanked the corps members for their selfless service to the nation, advised them to remain calm, dedicated, focused and disciplined.
