Celebrating World Water Day 2024!!!!
(Leveraging water for peace, prosperity,Good Health, Sanitation, Hygiene,Food For All)

The Deputy Speaker , Anambra State House of Assembly,Hon Chukwuma okoye (Ozo Mkpuluobi ) and The Deputy Minority Whip and the Deputy Chairman,power and water resources,Hon Nkechi Ogbuefi (Anyanwu Anaocha)took a trip to Aguleri fish sellers sales spot to raise awareness about water, sanitation and good hygiene and its connection to fostering peace.

The two Representative sensitized the people of the policies, projects, programs, prospects, partnership and legacy water projects of the govt.

The rural visit featured a walk to omo na omambala downstream fresh fish sellers designed to engage the small holders petty traders and inspire action on the 16 sdg goals.
Access to clean water, as well as toilets and handwashing points are essential to maintaining children's health and learning ability.Access to clean water is not just a basic human need; it's a fundamental right that unlocks the potentials of any nation.
By providing equitable access to clean&pure water& sanitation, we can increase Agricultural yield,reduce hunger,foster cooperation, alleviate conflicts, and build a more Green, Healthy, sustainable, prosperous,peaceful Anambra State.

Following the river bank inspection, a conversation was held amongst the fish sellers to delve deeper into the theme of World Water Day 2024,leveraging water for peace and enumerate the impressive steps Anambra State Government has taken towards solving the Sustainable Development Goal 6,Clean water and sanitation,Goal 3,Good Health &well being,13)Life below water and equally inquire of their challenges&wash success.

This year's theme, "Leveraging Water for Peace," emphasizes the incredible impact of collaboration in addressing water-related challenges and fostering positive outcomes. By working together, we can not only ensure access to clean water but reduce morbidity, hunger,low agricultural yields

LIFTING OF THE SUSPENSION OF ACTIVITIES OF AKPALA MMANWU IN AGULU.

Today Saturday 23rd March 2023, all the Ogwe Mmanwu in Agulu gathered at the Unity Hall to lift the suspension of Akpala Mmanwu in Agulu, (Imaghe Akpala Mmanwu). As was called by the President General and the Igwe of Agulu.

At the occasion was the National Executive of Agulu People's Union, Igwe in Council, Custom and Tradition Committee, all Village Chairmen and Ndi isi mmanwu.

The New Rules and Regulations Guiding both Akpala Mmanwu and Nnemmanwu (as was passed by the NEC of APU) was read out.
The rules was agreed upon by Ndi Ogwe Mmanwu and everyone present.

*Based on that, Akpala Mmanwu will perform starting from this Easter in line with the Rules and Regulations.*

There are strict penalties for any Masquerade, group or individual who violates any of the Rules.

Long Live Agulu Gbulu Enyi Na Mma.
