IBRAHIM YEKINI EXPRESSES REGRET FOR LEAVING HIS KIDS

brahim Yekini, well known as Itele D Icon, a Yoruba-themed Nollywood actor, has expressed regret for leaving his kids.

Recently, it was stated on an online forum that the movie star had mistreated his four kids with their mother, Dupe.

Additionally, the actor was charged with having a liaison with a female colleague.

Itele had previously denied claims that he had abandoned his kids.

However, the actor acknowledged that he has been dealing with an unidentified illness in an Instagram post on Saturday.

According to him, this had an impact on his regular monthly support for the children he shares with his ex-wife.

He also expressed regret for his earlier outburst, explaining that it was the result of frustration.

“The past few days have been a roller coaster of emotions for me. First and foremost, I will like to thank those who reached out concerning this issue, thank you so much. God bless everyone.”

I Never Asked Christians To Buy Guns – Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, says he never asked Christian faithful to purchase guns to defend themselves.

“I never asked Christians to go and buy guns; you didn’t hear that from me,” Adeboye said on Sunday in a thanksgiving sermon at Mount Carmel Prayer Village in Ifeiwara, Osun State.

The clergyman made the clarification following earlier comments on the killing of worshippers in Ondo State by terrorists who invaded Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Owo.

Channels Television had reported that at least 40 worshippers who had gone for the Sunday mass on June 5 lost their lives to the church attack.



‘You Don’t Need Guns’
Although Adeboye had said Christians would defend themselves in what he termed ‘fire-for-fire’, the revered pastor stated that his statement was misinterpreted.

“Let the devil try any nonsense. From now on, it’s going to be fire for fire,” he had said at the time.

But clarifying his comments during Sunday’s sermon tagged ‘Meant For The Top’, the RCCG leader said, “Now, there are one or two things that were said during the Holy Ghost Service; I believe some people might want to misrepresent.

“You don’t need guns. Samson (in the bible) never bought an AK-47; he fought with the jawbone of an ass. So, don’t go and buy guns. In any case, they (the authorities) won’t give you permission.”

Adeboye, however, mentioned that the church was ready to deter unwanted visitors from gaining access to its premises.

“Don’t buy guns. We don’t want to kill anyone right? we just want to make sure that unwanted visitors don’t come to our churches,” he said.

It was earlier speculated that Toyin and her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi had been having an in-house crisis, arising from Toyin’s attitude towards certain issues that revolves around their family.

According to popular controversial blogger, Gistlover, Toyin Abraham’s husband has been complaining about Toyin’s attitude towards him, her refusal to follow him to church and her skipping to sleep at home for couple of days.

Nigerian professional dancer, Kaffy, has shared more details about her divorce from her husband, Joseph Ameh. It can be recalled that in January 2022, Kaffy announced that her 10-year marriage to Joseph Ameh was over.

According to her, marriage is supposed to be an alignment of destinies, but that wasn’t the case for them, so they decided to go their separate ways.

Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service Rescued a Child from the Jaw of Death
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has rescued a male child of about 4 (Four) years old at No 11, Odushola Street, Off Lagos -Abeokuta Expressway, Ojokoro, Lagos.
The child who was reportedly playing around before falling into a well of about 120 feet depth around 17:28 hours on Wednesday within the storey building was rescued alive by the Firefighters from Agege Fire Station.
The boy is recuperating in a nearby Hospital and he is in a stable condition.

UK Investigators Trace N1.5 Trillion, $9 Million Looted Funds to NIMASA Boss, Bashir Jamoh’s Personal Accounts:

United Kingdom investigators have bursted another corruption scandal in the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration involving the Director, Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Bashir Jamoh, where various sums including N1.5 Trillion and another $9,557,312.50 have been traced to his personal accounts.
Shockingly the Fidelity account with N1, 505,890,450,000.67 has Hamza Ibrahim Jamoh with BVN 22151837650 and Cell phone number 08034517410. While the BVN number revealed a different identity, the cell phone linked to the account is linked to the DG of NIMASA, Jamoh.
Further investigations revealed that the N1.5trillion was after few months cleared from the account to avoid investigations on the lodgment of such huge amount.
In a four page document titled due diligent report on Bashiru Yusuf Jamoh, the Director-General NIMASA, the report exposed another lodgment of $9,557,312.50 into Access Bank account 0710814478 also belonging to him.
The investigation also exposed other infractions by the agency’s boss which also include award of contracts to companies which he has interest in.
The investigation, according to the report focused on fraud, money laundering and breach of the Nigeria code of conduct act. This same investigation, it stated spans across all the Agencies under the Ministry of Transport having started with the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA.
GLOBAL INVESTIGATORS UNITED KINGDOM, the investigation agency that signed the report investigated the bank transactions of Alhaji Jamoh focusing on inflows/Credit and Debits on his bank statements.
It found the transaction’s records of BASHIR YUSUF JAMOH showing the payment of $9,557,312.50 (Nine million, five hundred and fifty-seven thousand, three hundred and twelve dollars and fifty cents) into his personal accounts from Central Bank of Nigeria in violation of the Treasury Single Account, TSA.
“Most baffling is that CBN transferred millions of dollars into the personal account of BASHIR YUSUF JAMOH.
“Records shows the withdrawal of $5,425,200.00 (Five million, Four hundred and twenty-five thousand and two hundred dollars only) by CASH WITHDRAWAL from ACCESS Bank, Burma Road, Apapa, Lagos.
“BASHIR YUSUF JAMOH set up a company TALENT EXPERTISE INTL. LIMITED with RN: 1488830 to solicit for jobs from NIMASA. Being the director of a company and awarding contract to own company in violation of the code of conduct act section 3 part of the Third Schedule of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and code of conduct for public officers involved in procurement, Part X1, section 57, Sub-section (2) of the Procurement Act, 2007.”
According to the report, BIXBY OIL LIMITED has also paid money into his account, and the following payment into the account of the company was captured.

The private bedroom of Alhaji Busari Adelakun in his home town in Lagelu Local Government area of Oyo State
He was popularly known as "Eruobodo" ( the courageous one), was a Second Republic Politician in Ibadan.
The fear of Eruobodo was the beginning of wisdom in Oyo State then. He combined thuggery with politics and never hid his use of " juju".
In fact, he would boast and threaten to inflict his "juju" on opponents. He was feared. Even Uncle Bola Ige, then Governor of Old Oyo State, treated him with certain level of respect.
His fellow Commissioner in Oyo State suddenly died and Eruobodo was accused of killing him through metaphysical means and Eruobodo remorselessly retorted in Yoruba that he only tried him metaphysically without knowing that he was not a strong man in that area.
When he died in 1984 his bedroom was locked as nobody was bold enough to enter the bedroom. You can now see the occupants who entered without fear.

Popular Nigerian singer and activist, Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy on Monday led some Nigerians to protest against jungle justice occurring in some parts of the country.
Charly Boy who strongly condemned the murder of Deborah Samuel, a female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, who was gruesomely killed for alleged blasphemy and also David Imoh who was killed by okada riders in Lekki, called for urgent measures by the government to tackle jungle justice in Nigeria.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has called on the Executive, Legislature and Judiciaries to intervene in the case of the gruesome killing of Miss Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto over alleged “blasphemy” of Islam and Prophet Muhammad, SAW and not allow the situation to degenerate to chaos.
Speaking during the protest at the National Headquarters of the Church in Lagos, Assistant General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Johnson Odesola said that Nigeria is a secular country and not a religious country.
Odesola said that based on what he heard, what the lady said does not warrant taking her life, “the life of human being must be preserved and we must live together as one irrespective of religion or faith. As Christian, we are taught to be gentle, and as a lawyer, I know that our law makes provision for self-defence, but we shouldn’t let it get to the level where Christians will be forced to defend themselves. We need to show love.
“If people from the North can come here to build a mosque, why can’t we do the same? People should not put their partner to do what they don’t suppose to do, so we believe we must live together in love and harmony because Christianity is not violence.
He said the protest was limited to church premises in other not to stair up violence

He said that except the country is restructured the country may not progress, “yes we are the same but the way and manner we think are not the same, so what I felt we should do for peace to reign is to restructure because we are for peace and not for war.
“In a civilized and matured country, the court is supposed to protect and uphold integrity but that is not happening. So our judiciary also needs to do the needful because they are not doing it the way they are supposed to do it.

He added that the Sokoto State government is not responding to the situation the way he supposed, “I heard what the governor is saying which is not encouraging at all maybe because of his political ambition.”

Corroborating his views, Assistant Pastor in Charge of Parish, National Headquarters, Pastor Adebayo Adeyemo appealed to Christians not to take laws into their hands even as he called on the government to ensure justice prevailed.

“We know that some of our Muslims brothers are tolerant but they should not allow the few bad eggs to tarnish their image.”

Violent Muslim youths mounted a search for the lady immediately after the Jummaat prayers but could not find her.

It was alleged that on receiving information on the impending danger, the girl was whisked away to safety.

Enraged by not seeing her, the irate Muslim youths allegedly started destroying properties belonging to Christians in area.

Our correspondent learnt that trouble started when a message was allegedly circulated on social media that a Christian girl in the town allegedly engaged in blasphemy of Islam.

A source, who spoke to our correspondent confirmed the incident, saying, “Yes, the incident is true. It is an aftermath of the incident of the alleged blasphemy that happened in Sokoto last week.

“But Christian youths and others resisted and repelled them but that was after they had burnt down a shop attached to the church. Many houses were burnt down by the rampaging youths.

“In the process, one of the pastors of the ECWA church was seriously wounded; as I speak to you now, efforts are on to save his life.”

One of the leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the state also confirmed the incident to journalists in a telephone interview.
He said that the Commissioner of Police in the state and the Senior Special Assistant to the Bauchi State Governor on Christian Religious Affairs are aware.

He called on the Christian community in the state not to allow the situation to degenarate.

Efforts to get a confirmation on the incident from the Bauchi State Police Command proved abortive.

Several calls put through to the Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, were neither picked nor returned as of the time of filing this report.

James Ajibola Idowu Adegoke Ige was born in Esa Oke,Osun State on 13 September 1930.His parents were natives of Esa-Oke town,in the old Oyo StatE(now in Osun State).Ige left Kaduna and headed south to the Western region at the age of 14.He studied at Ibadan Grammar School (1943–48),and then at the University of Ibadan.From there he went to the University College London,where he graduated with a law degree in 1959.He was called to the bar in London's Inner Temple in 1961.
Ige established Bola Ige & Co in 1961,and later became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.He became well known in the country for his oratory prowess,as well as his advocacy work on civil rights and democracy.Ige's faith was Christianity.Uncommonly,Ige spoke all the three major Nigerian languages,Yoruba,Ibo and Hausa fluently.He wrote several books,and an anthology of articles and tributes about him was published shortly after his death.
During the First Republic (1963–66) at the age of 31 he was at the centre of the Action Group crisis,when Chief Obafemi Awolowo was pitted against his deputy,Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola.He became a rival of Olusola Olaosebikan for succession to Obafemi Awolowo.Ige was a Commissioner for Agriculture in the now-defunct Western Region of Nigeria (1967–70) under the military government of General Yakubu Gowon.In 1967,he became a friend of Olusegun Obasanjo,who was a commander of the army brigade in Ibadan.
In the early 1970s,during the first period of military rule,he devoted his time to the anti-racism campaign of the World Council of Churches.
Towards the end of the 1970s he joined the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN),the successor to the Action Group.When General Olusegun Obasanjo initiated the Second Republic,he was elected as governor of Oyo State from October 1979 to October 1983.In the 1983 elections,when he ran for re-election as the UPN candidate,he was defeated by Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo.Ige unsuccessfully challenged the election in court.However,Olunloyo lost the seat three months later to a coup staged by Generals Muhammadu Buhari and Tunde Idiagbon.
Ige was detained after the coup,accused of enriching himself with party funds.He was released in 1985,after the next coup,by Ibrahim Babangida,and returned to his legal practice and to writing.In 1990,he published People,Politics And Politicians of Nigeria:1940–1979,a book that he had begun while imprisoned.He was one of the founders of the influential Yoruba pressure group,Afenifere.Although critical of the military rule of General Sani Abacha,Ige avoided political difficulties during this period.
Following the restoration of democracy in 1999,Ige sought the nomination of the Alliance for Democracy party as a presidential candidate,but was rejected.President Obasanjo appointed Ige as minister of Mines and Power (1999–2000).He was not able to make significant improvements to service provided by the monopolistic National Electric Power Authority (NEPA).
He then became Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2000–2001).In September 2001,Ige said that the Federal government had initiated a program to re-arrange and consolidate the laws of the Federation,publish them in digital form,and make them available on the website of his ministry.He campaigned ardently against the imposition of the Sharia law in the northern states of Nigeria.In November 2001,he said that the Federal government would not allow the Sokoto State government to execute the judgement of a verdict passed by a Gwadabawa sharia court to stone a woman,Safiya Hussaini to death for committing adultery.
Ige was about to take up a new position as a member of the United Nations International Law Commission when he was gunned down in Ibadan,the Oyo State capital.
On 23 December 2001,Ige was shot dead at his home in the south-western city of Ibadan.He had been entangled in squabbles within his Alliance for Democracy party in Osun State.The previous week,the long-running feud between Osun state Governor Bisi Akande and his deputy,Iyiola Omisore,had apparently contributed to the death of an Osun State legislator,Odunayo Olagbaju.The government of President Olusegun Obasanjo deployed troops in south-western Nigeria to try to prevent a violent reaction to the murder.Although various people were arrested and tried for involvement in the murder,including Iyiola Omisore,all were acquitted.As of November 2010 the killers had not been found.He was buried in Esa-Oke.In a speech at his funeral,he was quoted as saying that he was sure that Nigeria was worth living for but he was not so sure that it was worth dying for.
