When a French citizen does not speak English, Africans respect him.

When a Spaniard doesn't speak English, Africans respect him.

When a Chinese person doesn't speak English, Africans respect him.

When a Russian doesn't speak English, Africans respect him.

When a Portuguese person doesn't speak English, Africans respect him.

But when an African does not speak English, Africans consider him a joke, unintelligent, illiterate, dumb and stupid.

This is the level or extent of the harm we have suffered as a people. We use English as a parameter to measure the intelligence of our people, including children.

In our schools, children are led to believe that they are stupid just because they cannot speak a language foreign to their ancestral trajectory.

Dear Africans, put an end to this mental slavery. Teach your children your mother tongue and allow locals to feel free to speak their native language without any stigma.

Do not help oppressors to prolong their oppression.

Soldiers earn less than N50,000 monthly; I'm paid N1,200 daily as operation allowance - Defence Chief.

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has revealed that military personnel are paid N50,000 as monthly salary while he and other officers, regardless of rank, are paid N1,200 daily as operation allowance.

Mr Musa disclosed this while speaking about the welfare of soldiers on Channels TV on Tuesday.

“The issue of cash allowance where we feed, any time we are on operations, I as a General, I am being paid N1,200 per day with my soldiers. From the first general to the last soldier, it is the same amount; that is what we manage.

“My soldiers collect less than N50,000 as salary in a month. We all know the situation on the ground; my appeal is for them to have a salary that is worthy of the work they are doing; we deserve to have that so that it can encourage them to want to do more,” he said.

INEC Calls For Fresh Primaries Ahead Of 34 Rerun, By-Elections In 2024

Yakubu recalled that rerun elections were ordered by election tribunals in one senatorial district, 11 federal constituencies and 22 state assembly constituencies following the 2023 general election.

He said bye-elections are also required in some areas due to deaths and resignations of lawmakers.

The INEC boss stated that the commission intends to combine and conduct the rerun and bye-elections on the same date possibly in the first week of February 2024.

The implications of the documents tendered by Atiku Abubakar today, both from INEC and from the star witness, are that: 1. The Tinubu that attended Chicago State University was born in 1954 and not 1952 as claimed by the 2nd Respondent (Bola Tinubu) in his sworn Form EC-9 AFFIDAVIT IN SUPPORT OF PERSONAL PARTICULARS submitted to INEC. 2. The Tinubu that attended Chicago State University indicated in his Undergraduate Admission Application Form that he is an American Citizen (Black American) while the 2nd Respondent, in his sworn Form EC-9 AFFIDAVIT IN SUPPORT OF PERSONAL PARTICULARS submitted to INEC, indicated that he is a Nigerian citizen only and has never acquired the citizenship of another Country or pledged allegiance to any other country - which fact is disproved by a Guinean passport also tendered, 3. The Tinubu that attended Chicago State University indicated in his Undergraduate Admission Application Form that he graduated from Government College, Lagos, in 1970, while the 2nd Respondent in his sworn Form EC-9 AFFIDAVIT IN SUPPORT OF PERSONAL PARTICULARS submitted to INEC failed to supply information as to his attendance of the said school. 4. In support of the 2nd Respondent’s Undergraduate Admission Application Form submitted to Chicago State University in 1977, was a transcript from Southwest College, Chicago, bearing the name “TINUBU BOLA .A.” which belonged to a “FEMALE” and 5. The copy of the actual Chicago State University Certificate issued to one Bola A. Tinubu, is radically different in form, content and character from the copy attached to the 2nd Respondent’s sworn Form EC-9 - AFFIDAVIT IN SUPPORT OF PERSONAL PARTICULARS, submitted to INEC on the 17th day of June, 2022. 5b. A direct comparison of both certificates reveals the following: Different dates of issue of the Certificate by the University (22nd June 1978 and 27th June 1979), different University logo on both certificates, different sentences and/or grammatical cons
