From Trenches to Triumph: Audrey Publishers Founder Publishes School Mom’s Debut
In a remarkable display of resilience and the power of community, Wuraola M. Ajibade launched her debut book, “Scars of Yesterday,” on May 4th, 2024. The event marked a triumphant milestone not just for Wuraola, but also for Audrey Publishers, a publishing house started by her school daughter and former schoolmate, Mary C. Nweke.

Wuraola and Mary share a powerful bond. Both hailing from challenging backgrounds, they understand the struggles captured in “Scars of Yesterday,” a deeply personal memoir that Wuraola revealed at the launch.

The book launch of ‘Scars of Yesterday was a huge Success! The event was attended by great dignitaries. That’s the author in white, on her right is Barrister Akeem, Oyo State Governor candidate at the primary election in APC! Next to him is yours truly, the founder of Audrey Publishers, Next to me is the Mother of the author, next to her is my mum, next to her is Dr. Tony Marinho, next to him is HOD of MBA University of Ibadan, next to him is P.A to Barrister Akeem. From the author’s left hand side is Professor Adeleke former Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. Next to him is his lovely wife, Mrs Adeleke, next to her is our mama Nwuga, and next to her is the Archdiocesan Youth President!
