Here are some basic ways to handle difficult bosses;

1. Learn to massage their ego without losing your self respect.
We are Nigerians and we have a lot of cultural issues.
Some people can not differentiate between that seniority in their homes and the workplace.
So learn how to stoop to conquer. It is just a phase.
Learn to call them madam/ sir if they need it like oxygen.
It takes nothing from you.

2. Please avoid unnecessary arguments.
There is no gain trying to prove a difficult boss or superior wrong even if they are wrong.
Apply wisdom.
Don’t outshine your master.
I repeat, we are Nigerians and a lot of people only function emotionally.
Logic is almost a tabo00.

3. Difficult bosses and superiors don’t like being accountable.
Please always make sure you keep records and documentation of every communication, tasks assigned and lots more.
This will help prevent the “I NEVER SAID SO” incidents.
So don’t just rely on verbal interactions, intentionally make them write it down through an email or WhatsApp texts.

4. If you are in Nigeria, truth is… there are cliques in offices!
We are not that advanced when it comes to corporate ethics and traditions.
So be wise even if you don’t belong to any clique, be cordial with everyone.
Remember, office politics is like CHESS.
It is not WHOT or LUDO.

5. Learn not to talk back. Not everything requires a response. At least, not immediately. That’s why emotional intelligence is very key. When that difficult boss is bent on knocking him or herself out, let them.
Do not interrupt or even try to defend your self. That will aggravate the whole issue.
Be wise.

2/18.

Famous Nollywood actor Halima Abubakar has made a shocking and heartbreakin g plea to Nigerians, seeking financial support.

HALIMA was one of the biggest, most beautiful, talented and most sought after actors in Nigeria in the early 2000s.

What happened?

The once vibrant screen star, known for her incredible talent, is now calling on the public for help.

HALIMA is still young, I will say she is between 37-42…
What happened?

What has stopped her from working?

Her recent plea through her Instagram live stream has generated lots of reactions.

Some are already offering support while some are asking; how did it get to this?

She also said she has been living in her village for a year now and tired of begging.

What happened to HALIMA?

Someone that had that kind of career at a time when being famous was a big deal, should not come to this at this age.
She is still young.

What is going on with her?

What do you think about this?

Share thought.

Founder of OMALIVINGSHOW LIMITED wrote;

Dear WAITING SINGLE,

You must not have a Valentine.
So do not feel left out.

This day should be a day to massively love up yourself WHILE YOU WAIT.

As a single, I spent every Valentine’s Day alone.
Watching couples exchange gifts, scrolling past romantic posts and being so happy for other married people, and engaged people while I waited gracefully for my time.

Today, it is not so anymore.

While I waited…
I made sure I was living!

Loving my self and giving myself everything I needed that man coming to give me.

I travelled out on some Valentine’s Day.
Visiting other countries and some of the destinations I love.
When I didn’t travel, I did a staycation at my favourite places in ABUJA.
And when I didn’t do that, I simply ordered my self gifts I would love that man to give me and go out for fine dining or order myself a food platter.

With me, there was NEVER moaning and feeling sorry for myself.

Many of you were following me when I was single and you saw how vibrant and full of life I was.
Even a lot of married people admired that and used me to inspire other singles.

So wait gracefully and live to the fullest while you wait.

One day, you won’t even remember there was a time you were all alone.

Because I was the kind of SINGLE that was always SINGLE INDEED, not entertaining placeholders and space occupiers labelled boyfriends and serious relationships…
I never had anyone romantic gift me on Valentine’s Day!

And when some want to force gifts on me which happened many times, I don’t appreciate them.

Again, I don’t like to hang out with anyone to pretend like I had A LOVELY VALENTINE.
You are not my lover so it doesn’t make sense.

So I was happy and confident on my own on Valentine’s Day not feeling left out.

Then my TRUE VALENTINE came.
And will be my VALENTINE forever.

Dear WAITING SINGLE,
One today…
There will be a knock at the door!

And it may be…
A bouquet of roses.
A note that reads;
“Some love stories take longer to begin… but they are always worth the wait.
Will you let me be yours?”

Then that will be the beginning of forever for you.

1. Marriage that seems like compensation.

2. Marriage out of pity.

3. Marriage out of sympathy.

4. Marriage because you don’t want to pass a certain age.

5. Marriage because you want to escape something.

6. Marriage to prove a point.

7. Marriage for papers.

8. Marriage to be able to JAPA together

9. Rebound marriage

10. Marriage based on potentials.
Potential is mainly about character. Behaviour. Attitude.
Someone is showing you exactly who they are but you think marrying them will change them.
That is marrying for potential.
Do not marry for potentials.
Marry people for who they are as you see them.

11. Marriage due to pregnancy.

12. Marriage due to prophesy.

13. Marriage as a way to break out of poverty

14. Marriage just because of status

15. Manipulated marriage

And lots more.

On February 11, 2025, an incident occurred at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka, Anambra State, involving a physicall altercation between a lecturer and a female student.

The event has attracted widespread attention due to its nature and the subsequent discussions it has inspired.

The altercation took place within the Department of Theatre Arts and Film Studies.

Dr. Chukwudi Okoye, a lecturer in the department, reportedly interrupted a third-year student, Goddy Precious from the Department of History and International Studies, while she was recording a dance video.

This interruption led to a confrontationnnn during which the student allegedly bitttttttt the lecturer.

In response to the incident, the management of UNIZIK has initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the confrontationnnn.

The university’s administration emphasized its commitment to maintaining orderliness and discipline within the campus and assured the public that appropriate actions would be taken based on the investigation’s findings.

The incident has generated a wide range of reactions on social media platforms.

Discussions have centered on the issue of recording personal videos within academic environments and whether it is appropriate or not, the boundaries of student-lecturer interactions, and campus discipline.

As the investigation by UNIZIK’s management continues, people are anxious to know the outcome.

What do you think outcome will be?

Should the student be expelled from the institution?
This will mean not being able to gain admission into any government university (state or federal) in Nigeria.
She can go to private.

Or

Should she be suspended for minimum of 2 years.

A call for urgent security reforms…
Enough is enough!

How did we get here?

Today, we are grieving, not just for Justice Azuka, but for a society where people are not safe.

Despite paying 100 million Naira for his freedom, his captors showed no mercy.

His life was taken, his family shatteredd, and once again, Nigeria is left asking…
Who is safe?

This is another painfull and glaring proof of the deep insecurityy that our society is facing, where humannnn lives have become so cheapp and no one is safe.

To his loved ones, we send our deepest condolences.

To those who have lost loved ones to kidnappinggg, please accept our sympathy.

To our leaders, we demand action.

To everyone reading this, let’s not act less concerned to these issues.
A society that allows such evillll to thrive continue to bear the brunt.

Rest in peace, Justice Azuka.

The theme for World Cancer Day 2025 is “United by Unique.”

This theme emphasizes placing individuals at the center of cancer care, recognizing that each person’s experience with cancer is unique.

The campaign aims to highlight personal stories and promote a compassionate, people centered approach to cancer treatment and support.

Some of the major aims of World Cancer Day are:

1. Raise Awareness;
Educate people about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment to reduce the global impact of the disease.

2. Promote Prevention;
Encourage healthy lifestyle choices, such as quitting smoking, eating a balanced diet, and regular screenings to lower cancer risks.

3. Improve Access to Treatment;
Advocate for equal access to quality cancer care, treatment, and support services for everyone, regardless of location or economic status.

4. Support Patients and Survivors;
Highlight the importance of emotional, psychological, and social support for individuals affected by cancer and their families.

5. Encourage Government Action;
Push for stronger policies, increased funding, and better healthcare systems to fight cancer on a global scale.

What do you know about cancer?
Do you know anyone who is dealing with cancer or who passed through cancer?

A healthier lifestyle leads to prevention.
We can all contribute to reducing cancer by improving our lifestyle.
