SUCCESS SECRETS FROM STEPHEN KING
It's never too late to learn. And often we find answers where we least expect them. I hope these simple rules of thumb will help you achieve success in business.
1. Keep moving forward.
Although success in boxing depends directly on the preparation and skill of the boxer, it is worth remembering that anyone can lose. It is difficult to fight an opponent who is constantly hitting and moving around the ring. The action becomes not only a confrontation, but also a battle of endurance, strength and skill.
The same applies to life. Most of the amazing success stories belong to people who worked tirelessly. You will never hear stories of those who gave up. All around us we hear only of those who are persistent and determined to achieve their goals.
Fact: Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times while working on the electric light bulb. Now think what would have happened if he had given up after 9,999?
2. Pain is a moment. Success is eternity.
Beaten phrase? Yes. Sounds like the truth? Absolutely. In every fight, sparring or training there is a moment when our "weak link" wants to give up. Note - in every one! But by defeating the enemy in the ring, we defeat the same enemy, but only within ourselves. We defeat the one who wanted to do nothing, watch TV or close the business.
No matter what difficulties you are currently facing, it is only temporary. Always remember that. Work hard, stay persistent and never give up. The bottom may not be as deep as it seemed before, and the heights have their peak. Be prepared for both scenarios.
Fact: You won't achieve your desired outcome if you give up.
3. Stock up on patience.
We are constantly expecting quick success, but it doesn't work like that. It always takes more time than we anticipate, not to mention the risk and sacrifices.
Now, it is becoming popular to build a business on prohibitions. Where some prohibit, others find loopholes and make money from it.
Don't even think about defeat when you've just started your journey! Keep fighting, writing, creating. If you think success comes quickly, you'll give in easier when the whole world says you're wrong.
4. In battle, victory is not won in the ring or under the light of spotlights.
The battle is won in the preparation, in the training, away from prying eyes. Success is forged in solitude, when no one sees your hard work, dedication and sacrifice. All that the onlookers see is the final result. No one sees your blood, sweat and tears that preceded the victory.
Don't fool yourself thinking success will come quickly and dramatically. You will be sorely mistaken. You must put in the work if you want to achieve success in any field. You must understand that you are missing out on some things in life. While your friends are out partying at the club, you must be working.
Yes, it's hard. But this focus will pay off in the end. It's not easy to be in business. It's a hard, demanding path. But you have what it takes to be one of the best.
5. It's never too late.
Think you can't beat someone who's been in the ring for a while? The solution is obvious: work harder and dedicate more time than anyone else.
It is worth remembering that not only the number of hours but also their quality affects success. It's never too late to start if you are eager to work harder than others.
Always remember your past experience - you never started anything completely "green". What you have already done in your life up to this point will prepare you for what you plan to do tomorrow..
