Chelsea Sign Omorodion for £35m

Nollywood Actor, Francis Duru’s Son Is Dead.

Ifeanyi, the son of ace Nollywood actor, Francis Duru, is dead.

Reports gathered that the thespian disclosed this via his social media page on Thursday morning.

Duru said he would forever miss and love his son but failed to disclose the circumstances that led to his death.

Kamala Harris is a communist – Elon Musk

Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, has attacked United States Vice President Kamala Harris.

Musk said Harris is ‘literally a communist’.

In a post on his X handle earlier today, Musk said Harris wants not only merely equal opportunity but equal outcomes.

He said: “Kamala is quite literally a communist. She wants not merely equal opportunity, but equal outcomes.”

Reports gathered that Harris secured the Democratic nomination for president.

She became the first woman of color to win a major party’s nomination and officially setting up her matchup against former President Donald Trump.

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Christopher Musa, on Tuesday, held a meeting with all heads of security forces in the country, at the Defence Headquarters.

Musa, while speaking after the meeting, noted that the military and security agencies are after those behind the call for undemocratic change of government.

He said the military knew that some protesters calling for regime changes were sponsored, adding that the military and other security agencies are trailing them to bring them to book.

The Nigerian Police have announced the arrest of foreign nationals reportedly sponsoring protests with the Russian flag in some northern parts of the country.

The nationwide protests against hardship and hunger took a twist over the weekend, with protesters in some Northern states holding up the Russian flag as they chanted “Tinubu must go”.

Reactions have since trailed the development, with human rights activists and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, like Femi Falana, and the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Mustapha, describing the act as a treasonable offence.

The Department of State Services (DSS), has arrested one of the leaders of the ongoing protests in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Micheal Lenin.

According to information obtained by Zinari News, Lenin was arrested around 2 am on Monday at his residence in the Apo area of the nation’s capital city by DSS operatives.

Hundreds of protesters in Jos, Plateau State capital, on Sunday, flooded the popular Bauchi Road, issuing a stern warning to all business owners to join them on Monday or shut down.

The protesters said the move is to prevent damage to their properties.

According to the protesters, President Bola Tinubu’s Sunday broadcast failed to address the pressing challenges facing the nation.

They vowed to mobilise more people to come out to express their grievances and dissatisfaction with the broadcast, adding that the protest is the only way to voice their concern to government.

The protesters, comprising adults and young people, were seen carrying placards, leaves, and flags of different countries moving from streets to another to issue the warning, saying, “no business tomorrow. Everyone should come out tomorrow for the protest.”

The protesters’ major demand is the removal of the fuel subsidy and tackling insecurity in the country.

In his broadcast, Tinubu has ruled out the return of fuel subsidy, saying even though the decision to remove the fuel Subsidy was painful, it was necessary because it has constituted a noose around the economic “jugular of our Nation and impeded our economic development and progress”.

The convener of movement, Omoyele Sowore, has urged Nigerians not to be deceived by President Bola Tinubu’s planned national broadcast on Sunday.

Sowore stated this moments after it was announced that the President Tinubu will address the nation as the ongoing nationwide hunger protest entered Day 3.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.

However, Sowore urged people to start arriving in Abuja on Sunday for the planned invasion of Eagles Square on Monday.

He said, “We’ve been informed of a plan by the to address the “NATION” tomorrow (Sunday); the “address” is designed to chill what they know would be a massive outing for in Nigeria on Monday, August 5th 2024.

“Don’t fall for this trick. Keep mobilizing for EAGLE SQUARE Abuja at 7 a.m. on Monday.

“People should start arriving in Abuja tomorrow if they decide to close down roads entering Abuja. Satellite towns around Abuja are also being mobilized to engage in ACTION. .”
