Abuja Pastor Brings AK-47 To Altar

The presiding pastor of the Abuja chapter of the House on the Rock, Pastor Uche Aigbe, on Sunday, mounted the pulpit carrying an AK-47.

The pastor made his way to the altar, carrying the gun, as many members of his congregation exchanged glances, trying to figure out what was going on.

He said teasingly, "Some people are looking for my trouble. And I came here prepared.

"Today, there are some pastors with the gift of divination who go about ripping people off. This is why we should carry our 'guns' and defend ourselves. I will particularly be coming very soon for some of you sleeping in the church."

Election tribunal sitting in Jos, Plateau State has today Friday nullified the victory of the PDP in the recent Jos North- Bassa Federal Constituency bye-election. The court further directed INEC to issue Certificate of Return to Hon. Many schools of thought have opined that Nigeria's political parties suffer vicarious dysfunctionality that flows from the aboriginal dysfunctionality of the Nigerian state and its political and legal order.

Thus our political parties are poor copies that have no cultural substance to sustain them. Despite this disturbing submission however, political parties remain the only constitutionally recognized vehicles through which individuals ride into power. The problems of internal democracy which spares no party at all, remains one of the major challenges slowing down democratic growth in the country.

On this episode of the Polity, Idakwo Muh'd Lawal, the assistant national publicity secretary of the PRP, shares some of the challenges within his party while he affirms that the party will surmount it's internal problems and give the leading parties a fight to win the No.1 seat in the country come 2023.

KADUNA-ABUJA TRAIN ATTACK/INSECURITY: Nigerian Intelligence Chiefs must resign -Durojaiye

The Presidential aspirant of the People’s Redemption Party, PRP, Dr. Abdulfattah Durojaiye, has called for the resignation of Nigerian Security Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari and other Security Intelligence Chiefs in the states affected by continuous insecurity and bandits’ attacks over failure to nip in the bud the railway attack on the Nigerian Railway coaches from Abuja to Kaduna.

According to Dr. Durojaiye in the statement he personally signed, the attacks on the train and Kaduna airport as well as military base in Birni Kwari, are disgrace to the security agencies, noting that the level of attacks and killings of innocent Nigerians are no longer tolerable.

Stating that Nigerians are going through untold hardships under President Buhari administration, the PRP presidential aspirant said in a normal clime, any failure of intelligence will lead to the resignation or dismissal of security chiefs.

Durojaiye also commiserated with the families of Nigerians killed on the Abuja-Kaduna rail attack, families of soldiers and other Nigerians.

He regretted that the security agencies have failed to take out the bandits and terrorists who are daily killing and taking ransoms from innocent Nigerians.

Durojaiye said:”The incessant killings across the country are embarrassments to Nigerians home and abroad. The Nigerian Constitution on government responsibility to safeguard lives and properties, the ruling APC has failed.

He enjoined Nigerians to keep hope alive as a new government under Durojaiye Presidency and PRP will address the security challenges headlong.

Dr. Durojaiye wondered why Nigerian security agencies cannot use the latest technology to fight the gunmen, bandits and terrorists unleashing havoc on Nigerians.

HOW THE 'LEGACY PRP' THROWN THE PHANTOM GROUP IN TO CONFUSION IN THE COURT PROCEEDINGS YESTERDAY

Events in the recent week that deluded our day dreamers (FALALU's) with a false hope of Victory had eventually fade away. They gloated and rubbed their cheap victory on the face of their own very brothers instead of showing maturity and leadership to bring all on board. They tricked people in to participating and contributing millions to their get together party tagged "NATIONAL CONVENTION" at Chida Hotel, thereby concealing the truth about the court case, created an impression that, they have won and the case is over.

May I announce to you that, at the nations capital yesterday we (Legacy group) gathered at the Federal High Court of Abuja, anxious to hear what the court has to say. Those who claimed Falalu was not an interim but duely elected as National chairman had abandoned that line of argument , using their newly appointed SAN to ambush the credibility and credentials of our protest in court with a claim that; 'Falalu Bello had conducted the party's National convention on Saturday. And that, the reason why Falalu was dragged to court was on the ground of his inability to conducting the convention of the party.' Any other argument could not surface.

When I told the general public through our various handles that; planned convention is but a political decoy to escape April 5th court proceedings, many didn't probably get the joke. But, it became manifest in court yesterday for it was the only argument the Falalu's counsels were laying emphasis on.

May I remind you all that the litigation challenging the credibility and credentials of Falalu Bello's leadership was dated July last year. So, our position would continue to be that, Falalu Bello is an illegal chairman, and the saturday convention was pocket centered and does not represent the party, neither does it has any bearing on us. It would remain illegal until court says otherwise.

In the midst of all this, we all are party members. The bad omen in our midst remain Falalu Bello who has polarized the party in to factionalism. Although, they gloated last week, but couldn't gloat yesterday. We have every reason to gloat but remain true we our cause. We even pleaded with one of the Falalu's to help capture us with our phones but was bittered and refuses. We only ask him to help because of our party identity. But he saw himself as a Falalu and would go down as Falalu.

For your information, May 10th has been slated for hearing. And until then, we are on the move.. WEMOVE ✊

PRP: COURT STRIKES OUT SUIT CHALLENGING LEGALITY OF FALALU BELLO's LED NEC:

Early this week (Tuesday), a Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja struck out a suit challenging the legality and competence of Mallam Falalu Bello-led National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP). In her judgement, Justice D. U Okorowo held that the action was lacking in merit and terribly incompetent, noting that the substratum of the matter bordered on the internal affairs of the PRP.

In a statement, the assistant National Publicity Secretary of the party (the legacy PRP), Comrade Idakwo Muh'd Lawal said, those in the suit were Falalu Bello's foot soldiers in Kano and other states, fighting and resisting every efforts of the 'legacy PRP' to fight the cause of "Justice" against Falalu then. After Falalu had used them, he dumped them along the road side without shelter.

Irked by his actions, they finally saw the evil and the need to fight it in Falalu Bello. They choose the conventionally accepted way to seek redress. They decided to go to court to challenge the legality of his chairmanship. You can't eat your cake and still have it— by participating in FALALU's Congresses they have acknowledges his chairmanship, he concluded.

Speaking further, the publicity officer said, the recent judgement to him, is not a victory that the FALALU's should gloat about, and that the mother of all cases which started Sept 23rd last year is still on, the court slated 5th of April to continue adjudication.
