Earlier, the Chief Returning Officer of Osun State Governorship Election and Vice Chancellor of University of Lagos, Professor Oluwatoyin Temitayo Ogundipe, OON FAS declared the Flag bearer of the PDP and Fmr Lawmaker of Osun West district,
Senator Jackson Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke; as the Governor-Elect who polled 403,371 votes to defeat the Incumbent Governor, His Excellency Chief Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, who garnered 375,077 votes.

Millions of Nigerians and Foreign friends have expressed their heartwarming congratulations and Felicitations over the development that left the APC shocked and Flat-footed.

It's was pertinent and laudable receiving the Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Prof. Oluyemi Oluleke Osinbajo, GCON at the Ongoing International Airport, Onueke, Ebonyi State. The Vice President was received by His Excellency the Executive Governor, Engr. Dr. Umahi David Nweze, Fnse Fnate who had the company of his Excellency the Deputy Governor, Barr. Eric Kelechi Igwe, PhD; the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Francis O. Nwifuru, The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Hon. Comrade Chinedu N. Ogah, OON, Top Government Officials, Members of ALGON and mammoth crowd of veritable Ebonyians.

The Vice President was escorted by the latter (Supra) and the Chairman of Ohaukwu LGA, Hon. Barr. Clement O. Odah to commission the twin Flyover in Ezzamgbo named after the first civilian Governor and current Senator of Nigeria, H. E. Sen. Dr. Samuel O. Egwu, CON which was scrumptious to behold and witness.

Umahi: PDP’s case will end at Appeal Court – Al-Makura

A National chairmanship aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Senator Tanko Al-Makura, has predicted that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s case against Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State will collapse at the Appeal Court.

He stated this while encouraging Umahi and supporters of the party to remain strong and not to lose sleep over Tuesday’s Federal High Court judgment on Governor Umahi and his deputy.

In a statement he signed on Wednesday in Abuja, the former Nasarawa State Governor said from his knowledge of the nation’s political history and several court rulings on the same matter, the PDP lawsuit seeking to sack Umahi and his deputy from office will amount to nothing.

He further described the case as a reckless academic exercise, insisting the Appeal Court would not waste time in upturning the ruling of the lower court.

“The courts, including the Supreme Court, had severally determined the position of the law concerning a governor who decides to exercise his right to freedom of association,” the statement said.

“The PDP suit against Umahi, in the popular view, lacks merit and will ultimately collapse and earn its deserved place as a reckless academic exercise…”
Almakura could not understand why the opposition Party should be aggrieved over Umahi’s decision to join the APC, adding that the PDP had in many occasions benefitted from such defections.

“The PDP lacks any moral ground to contest Umahi’s decision to freely associate for the betterment of his people and Nigeria”, he stated.
Governor Umahi, meanwhile, has approached the appellate court to seek a superior judgment to that of the Federal High Court that sacked him.

17 persons burnt to dæth as Petrol Tanker catches fire in OGUN STATE!!!.

No fewer than 17 persons died when a tanker caught fire along the Lagos/Ibadan highway in Ogun State.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that the accident happened around 5 am on Friday before the Isara bridge.

The spokesperson of the FRSC in Ogun, Florence Okpe, said 14 of the bodies were burnt beyond recognition, adding that the FRSC was able to identify one man, one woman and a girl.

“The total number of people involved is not ascertained, but a total of 17 bodies (k!lled) have been identified.

“One male, one female, and one female child only have been identified, while others were burnt beyond recognition and no injury sustained i.e the former”, Okpe said.

She added that the tanker had a head-on collision with a Mazda bus marked, ZT728 KLD.

“The suspected causes of the fatal crash were route violation and dangerous driving, which resulted in a head-on collision and fire outbreak.

Meanwhile, the Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, Ahmed Umar, described the crash as an avoidable one with caution and obedience to traffic rules and regulations.

Umar commiserated with the families of the victims, enjoining them to contact the FRSC office in Ogere for more information about the crash.

Yesterday, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR visited the Gateway State of the Nation {Ogun State} to Commission over Five Projects; which include the 42KM Sagamu Federal Road, M. Buhari Highway, Ultramodern Housing Estate for low, medium and high income earners & etcetera

“Actress Jemima Osunde slams man who said presidency is an appreciation gift for H.E Ahmed Bola Tinubu”.

Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde has slammed an aide of presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu who shared a post credited to the Lagos chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The statement shared on the Twitter page of Gawat Jubrin, that the Lagos state chapter of the APC is supporting Bola Tinubu presidency in 2023 to show appreciation and pay him back for being "a man of honor and destiny helper for a whole lot of people."

The statement read “We see Asiwaju’s decision to run as an opportunity for all of us who are beneficiaries of Asiwaju’s goodwill and large-heartedness, including the VP, to pay back and appreciate Asiwaju for being such a man of honour and destiny helper for a whole lot of people,"

Responding to the post, the movie star advised the party to throw a big party for him instead of using the country as a souvenir.

Before now, it was reported that the pictured fellow, Moses lured his acclaimed girlfriend, Ms Jennifer Anthony, a 300L student of University of Jos into a hotel. The aftermath was obfuscating, as the supposed girl was found lifeless with no eyes... As companion was no where to be found.
Earlier, he was caught in Benue State and paraded by security Operatives with other Misguided elements and to face prosecution for murderous act in Jos.

Lagos State Government Clears all 5 Students and Staffs Arrested over the Death of Sylvester Oromoni

Lagos state govt clears all five students and staff arrested over Sylvester Oromoni's death, says autopsy report ruled out case of murder and toxicology found no harmful substance in his body

The Lagos State Government has cleared five students and five employees of Dowen College accused of complicity in the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni.

The state cleared them as well as the school following the Legal Advice of the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Ms. Adetutu Oshinusi.

According to the legal advice addressed to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID and the trial magistrate, Magistrate Olatunbosun Adeola, the interim and final autopsy reports issued by the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital and toxicology report of post mortem samples and that of the Central Hospital, Warri were in agreement as to the cause of death namely: Septicaemia, Lobar Pneumonia with Acute Pyelonephritis, Pyomyositis of the right ankle and Acute Bacteria Pneumonia due to severe Sepsis.

The legal advice added that the result of the toxicology is also not indicative of any toxic or poisonous substance in the body of the deceased as claimed by the family.
The DPP’s legal advice, therefore, concluded that based on these findings, there is no prima facie case of murder, involuntary manslaughter and or malicious administering of poison with intent to harm against the five students, Favour Benjamin aged 16, Micheal Kashamu (15), Edward Begue (16), Ansel Temile (14) and Kenneth Inyang (15).
The state also cleared the minors of belonging to unlawful society due to insufficient facts to establish the offence.
''From available facts in the duplicate case file, the investigation carried out by the Police did not reveal that any secret society name, tattoo or insignia of any unlawful society was found in the possession of suspects.
