CONGRATULATIONS NAMIBIA 🇳🇦! Deon Hotto Kavendji scored in the 87th minute against Group E favourites Tunisia to give the Brave Warriors their first ever win at the AFCON tournament. Namibia has previously participated in three African Cup of Nations, exiting in the first round in all three competitions. Hotto's late goal secures all 3 points for the Brave Warriors.

ZIMBABWE NEWS: Marry Mubaiwa, ex-wife to the current Zimbabwe Vice President General Constantino Chiwenga (Retired) has had her right arm amputated after being diagnosed with lymphoedema which causes large open wounds. Marry's repeated efforts to seek treatment in South Africa over the past few years all came to naught as the Zimbabwean courts repeatedly denied her access to her passport.

It is widely suspected that the powerful ex-husband, VP and former Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) commander who is also the health minister has been manipulating the courts to deny Marry exit from Zimbabwe on health grounds. Zimbabwe's health system is collapsed with no capacity to serve the 15,8 million population.

Marry is on remand for allegdly attempting to disconnect life support tubes from the ex-husband while he was critically ill in South Africa back in 2019 and also attempting to manipulate him into formally signing marriage papers while still critically ill. They have three children between them.

As commander of the defence forces, General Chiwenga (rtd) led a surprise military operation that toppled the long ruling and now late Robert Mugabe from power with the ruling ZANU PF party swiftly going on to install Emmerson Mnangagwa - his former deputy - as his replacement.

The constitutionality of Mnangagwa's post coup installation is now being challenged in court by one citizen named Sybeth Musengezi who is a bonafide ZANU PF party member. Musengezi argues that Mnangagwa's elevation to party presidency was not in line with tenates of the ruling party's constitution. Zimbabweans eargerly await the trial.

MUSEVENI BRINGS OWN TOILET TO KENYA:

Uganda's President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday made headlines in Kenya when he brought his mobile Mercedes-Benz toilet for President Ruto’s inauguration.

An image of the top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz mobile toilet parked in Nairobi was trending on social media yesterday, generating exciting debate about why some Presidents – especially the strongmen – have to be cautious about who can snoop on their p**p.

And, like any other dictator worth his salt, the 77-year-old Museveni is so suspicious of everything when abroad so much so that he took with him his personal armoured toilet to Kenya where he was attending his friend, William Ruto’s inauguration.

The mobile toilet is actually a whole Mercedes-Benz truck. Aides had to drive it across the border to Nairobi ahead of Museveni’s flight.

GUN VIOLENCE: A Namibian Police officer, Sergeant Nestor Usebui was shot dead by another police officer following an altercation between the deceased and the perpetrator at a drinking joint in Windhoek on Friday night. Reletives of the deceased have been informed. Both officers were based at Wanaheda Police Station. Investigations into the shooting are underway. May the soul of the deceased rest in peace.

JULY 2022: DR Congo Independence Hero, Patrice Lumumba graveyard. His body was dissolved in acid by Belgian officers after he was murdered by Congolese Katanga separatists. Belgium returned the single tooth which was burried in a casket. He was murdered on 17 January 1961 at age 35.
