ATTENTION!!!

Two tourists had their passports taken last night, 5 September, in Swakopmund. 😔 Besides this shocking experience, they're now facing the hassle of contacting embassies and applying for new travel documents.

If you have any information or can assist in locating their passports, it would be a tremendous help and a huge relief. 🙏 You can WhatsApp Alex the travel agent at +4915561845464 or send me a DM.

The robbers were in a red polo and drove off to Walvis Bay, reg no N29671WB & N219405W

Thank you!

In 1980, a man named Richard turned on his television and saw a female player from Romania receiving a check for $40,000 after winning a tennis tournament. The whole scene was enough to shock Richard. This was more than his annual salary.

Within a few years, she decided that her daughters would also play tennis.

After turning off the television, he sat down and wrote a 78-page document outlining a plan for his two young daughters to flee their hometown of Compton, California, an area known for notorious black gangster violence. Now there was also a problem that Richard didn't know anything about tennis, he didn't have the money to pay for his daughters to train for this expensive sport, and maybe it's incredible to you that his daughters weren't even born yet at that time.

Over the next five years, he collected tennis-related magazines and video cassettes. He also taught himself to play tennis. Five years later, according to his plan, Richard had a tennis racquet in the hands of his two daughters, the same magazines and videos and what he had learned from them. All stopped, now he was also the father and coach of these little girls, he began to teach them the game of tennis. Unable to afford the basics of playing the game, Richard would go to local country clubs to collect used tennis balls from bins and load them into a shopping cart, so that his daughters could practice with these used balls on public tennis courts.
Richard was overprotective and physically strong as a father, and was often beaten by local gang bullies while trying to protect his daughters from harassment during tennis training. On one occasion when he refused to leave the practice court with his daughters, they broke his nose, jaw and fingers, and knocked out several of his teeth. Richard wrote in his diary, "After today, history will remember the 'toothless' man as a monument of courage.

Since tennis was a predominantly white sport at the time, people would stare and shout at the black family as Richard and his daughters traveled to various tennis courts for junior tournaments. Once the girls asked, "Daddy, why do people stare at us so badly," to which he replied, "Because they are not used to seeing such beautiful people before.

The wheel of time turned quickly and the calendar page turned sharply to the year 2000, when a tall, lean black girl set out on a journey to play the Wimbledon tournament final, and thousands of miles away from her native ghetto, Richard watched his eldest daughter play in the grass fields in front of London's elite, celebrities and royalty.

That was the time When no one had ever seen a tennis player with such a powerful serve and fast footwork, nor had they ever heard shots so loud. It's like every ball is being beaten and every ball is crying out in pain.

When the girl reached a stage where victory was ahead of fear, the girl looked at her father standing in the stands who was encouraging her to achieve victory by shouting loudly. Richard always told his daughters, "One day, we're going to win Wimbledon, and it's not going to be for us. It will be for the helpless and poor people of America. Richard's 20-year-long struggle plan had now reached a critical point in history.
As the opponent's ball hit the net, cameras caught a teary-eyed Richard dancing wildly as he watched his daughter Venus Williams win the first of her seven Grand Slam titles. Over the next several years, Richard also watched his youngest daughter Serena win 23 major tournaments and become one of the greatest tennis players of all time.
For all their success on the tennis court, what Venus and Serena endured off the court is the most impressive part of their journey. From spectators, who were given the nickname "Williams Brothers" because of their physique, to recent comments in the media calling Serena's mixed-race daughter "chocolate milk," the two sisters' resilient and kind personality had helped them stand up to racism and bigotry, their father said. The best way to avenge her is to answer with her racquet inside the tennis court, this inspiring struggle of these two sisters inspired black people and athletes around the world.
Remember that a lonely person who has no one in the world except God, when he alone has a firm intention to achieve a goal, then the will of God is also added to that alone, which makes the impossible possible, you just have to choose your goal, then strengthen your resolve, and then trust in God and make every effort to achieve it, then you will reach this destination, and you will know that day that after every hardship, there is ease that is hidden from us.

Mario Balotelli🗣️“I challenge all African football players to raise money with me to leave Europe and build stadiums in Africa and develop our youth. We have money and we can build at least 5 international stadiums in each country and sign an agreement stipulating that no player will be exported to Africa. Europe again. Here in Africa, they will play under the love of their sisters and brothers, with no one shouting insulting phrases against them in the stands. We are more talented, and we can raise the quality of our Champions League and the level of the leagues. We have great talents, but they are not appreciated abroad."

Prostate cancer is on the rise!

It is the most common cancer in men in over 100 countries, and the global burden of prostate cancer is set to more than double by 2040.
Prostate cancer has also officially moved to the highest incidence in cancer diagnosed in Namibia since the updated National Cancer Register interim report of 2023.

We urge men over 40 to get screened annually, especially if there is a family history of disease.

A report by The Lancet and International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC/WHO) explains how the world should prepare for this surge.

A simple PSA Blood Test can save your life!
Contact the CAN Community Care Centre at +264819537740 or your local Ministry of Health and Social Services-Namibia clinic and/or private doctor to get a PSA Blood Test.

LET'S TALK WATER METERS

There are two main types of water meters: electronic and manual.

Electronic Meters:

• Readings are collected automatically using special devices in meter reader’s vehicles.
• These devices drive or walk by your house and collect the reading from your meter wirelessly.
• No need for the meter reader to come to your property!
• The devices can also detect unusually high-water usage.
• If this happens, the meter reader might need to visit your property to investigate (like checking for leaks or a damaged meter).

Manual Meters:

• Meter readers need to physically visit your property to take the reading.
• They will enter the reading into a device that can identify unusually high-water usage.
• Just like with electronic meters, the meter reader might need to investigate further if high usage is detected.

How Often Are Readings Taken?

Readings are collected between the 16th of every month and the 7th of the next month.
This applies to all houses, businesses and farms in the Nonidas area.
The cycle then starts over again on the 16th of the next month.

PHOTO OF SEAL AS A CHILD BEFORE LUPUS SCARRING
Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel(born February 19, 1963), better known by his stage name Seal, is a British musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He has sold over 20 million records worldwide. These include hit songs "Crazy" and "Killer", the latter of which went to number one in the UK, and his most celebrated song, "Kiss from a Rose", which was released in 1994. Seal is renowned for his distinctive soulful singing voice.
Seal was born at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, to a Nigerian mother, Adebisi Ogundeji, and an Afro-Brazilian father, Francis Samuel.
Seal has won multiple awards throughout his career, including three Brit Awards; he won Best British Male in 1992. He has also won four Grammy Awards and an MTV Video Music Award. As a songwriter, Seal received two Ivor Novello Awards for Best Song Musically and Lyrically from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors for "Killer" (1990) and "Crazy" (1991).
He was a coach on The Voice Australia in 2012 and 2013, and returned to Australia to work as a coach in 2017.
While Seal remains an active songwriter, performer and producer, he has also dabbled in film. He was the voice of "Seal Seal" in the animated film Seal Team(2021) and played "Pontius Pilate" in Tyler Perry's tv movie The Passion (2016). His latest film project was a role in the 2022 movie Me Time.
SCARRING
His facial scars have been a point of conversation since he hit the music scene in the 1990s. From there, more than one story began to circulate, all making up tall tales of how the Grammy Award-winning artist got his scars.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Seal set the record straight. "People always want them to be tribal scars. That's just the nature of the media and of people’s imaginations." The scars aren't from a ritual or from an accident.
The prominent scarring on Seal's face is the result of a type of lupus called discoid lupus erythematosus(DLE), which is an autoimmune skin disease that affects the skin and leaves large scars.
Seal has revealed in interviews that he was afflicted with this syndrome as a teen and diagnosed with DLE at the age of 21. Not only did DLE cause Seal's face scars, but he had significant scalp involvement, causing hair loss. Thankfully, the singer’s condition has been in remission for years, though his scars remain.
