😻So I have this friend, my chosen family, who loves cats and enjoys feeding them. She calls all of the Mimi after her late cat.
😹They must have a telegram because everywhere she goes they seem to know that she carries cat food and treats.

👩🎨While replenishing some paint stash, we recently stumbled upon this mid range set of pastel acrylic paints bought at MYR25.95 at a local stationery store.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
🌈Consist of 12 pastel tones with names like: Yellow cream, apricot, flamingo, peach, ruby, maroon, lime green, aquamarine, cerulean blue, oak brown, blue grey & cool grey.
▪︎ Dries quickly
▪︎Apart from the blue grey & cool grey colours that are too light, the other colours are brilliant jewel tones.
▪︎Suitable on canvas, paper, possibly even on wood too.

🎄Last weekend, I was invited to judge @centralicity Ho, Ho Christmas Hat Decor & Design Contest.
🧑🎄 We had 9 contestants from different age groups, all geared up with their craft tools to design the funkiest Christmas hat.
🎩Each of them were given a top hat as a base. It was pretty amazing to watch their DIY skills at work withing 4 hours. Contestants were judged based on their design & concept, colour combination, overall presentation & effort and finally, their write up description.

founder of @theartsycraftsy
💛I am a passionate creative who believes in healing with art and doing what you love. Before I created The Artsy Craftsy (🥜when I was a little peanut- actually still a peanut with much to learn from my team), I was already pursuing the creative world.
💫While majoring in advertising, I started my first freelance fabric painting service that led to my small handpainted merchandise + commissions on evening gowns. I experienced 2 wearable art fashion shows and landed clients like La Senza, Dragonfly Tattoo & Wondermilk. I even worked in a craft retail store for experience, but paused my art journey when I joined corporate.
🦋Craving to reconnect with my inner artist, I looked for local creative blogs but found non. This inspired The Artsy Craftsy! In 2008, I created the blog to document my creative exploration and for artsy-craftsy people alike who are not limited to 1 skill/interest/passion (hence the name).
🤘In 2015, when after leaving my job, The Artsy Craftsy's REAL journey begin:- from a blog, to workshops, services/events, a resourceful platform- to simply put, The Artsy Craftsy NEVER did quite fit in ANY BOX.
🌈My vision for #TheArtsyCraftsy is to cultivate creativity for personal growth. We aim to be an inclusive hub for artists/crafters/makers/hobbyists as a source of inspo & info. I can't think of any creatives to pursue this vision with other than my crafty-sisters, to champion creativity + community.
