Hi! I’m Shia Lynn, Creator of The Artsy Craftsy. I created The Artsy Craftsy in 2008, as an arts and crafts blog to help people discover their inner artist and joy of creation while supporting the local creatives. With the years of networking with artists & crafters, my aim is to contribute to the growth of the creative community, and to empower people to be creative.

How The Artsy Craftsy Started

Originally started off as a blog in 2008 when there were no local craft blogs, The Artsy Craftsy's mission was to help people discover their inner artist and the joy of making through stories about the creator's personal creative journey, DIY craft tutorials and creativity tips on overcoming creative blockages. As an inspiration, the blog also featured some of the Malaysian artists, crafters and makers. In 2015, it became an arts and crafts platform to cultivate creativity through online and offline activations. Thanks to the support of our community, we are grateful that we are still one of the popular names in the Malaysian arts and crafts community

CONTENT

We enjoy creating content featuring some of the most inspiring topics on creative Malaysians, creative biz guide, arts and craft tips, creative life advice and craft projects and ideas

CREATIVE SERVICES

We offer a variety of offline creative services for corporate brands and companies, depending what our clients are looking for. Some of the services that we offer range from demos, on-the-spot personalisation, to workshops, team building and make & takes, designed for corporate events and corporate activities.

SPONSORSHIP & PARTNERSHIPS

We work with brands, companies and small creative businesses through several arrangements like sponsored post product collaborations and giveaways. Once in awhile, we take on fun projects through partnerships and collaborations that can benefit the Malaysian arts and craft community. We have collaborated with brands such as Craft La, Craft Haven and In Real Life, and have worked with several renowned brands for B2C experience, with names such as Spotlight, Etsy, Pelikan Malaysia, Plaid Crafts and Toyota Global.

CRAFT COURSES

Learn a creative skill from us through the creative classes that we offer perfect for hobbyists to create an artful living. We also offer MAKERS CONSULTATION a consultation service for emerging Malaysian craft business owners who are looking for tips, advice and guides.

CRAFT ACTIVITIES

Our mission is to bring the creative community together through arts and craft, whether it is a craft gathering, an art jamming session or creative meet ups, we hope to inspire people to be creative together!

NETWORKING

Our inner-circle called The Artsy Craftsy Friends is where we gather like-minded crafter-friends to collaborate and connect them to opportunities like event participation and passion projects. Our goal is to create a connection with our close friends for support & inspiration during get-together.
