Role and Responsibilities:
• Responsible to process purchase orders in the system.
• Liaise closely with vendors, forwarders on shipment delivery, documentation & custom clearance.
• To ensure our stock take and inventory management are in accordance with company SOP and policies.
• Monitor inventory management process including related controls independently, from inbound and outbound to ensure the accuracy of stock.
• Maintain updated and accurate records if inventory, including stock transfers.
• Ensure inventory reconciliation between in-house tracking system and the physical counts.
• Perform and complete cycle and annual stock take and conduct inventory variance investigation and provide corrective actions.

Qualification and Education Requirements:
• At least 1 year and above hand-on experience in inventory operations is required.
• Preferably with experience from the Trading.

Preferred Skills:
• Required language(s): English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Able to converse in Mandarin will be added advantage
• Computer literacy – Excel, Word.
• To complete the allocated assignments within a stipulated time frame.

Motiva Announces Base Oil Supply Agreement with S-Oil

Gulf Oil Lubricants forms strategic partnership with S-Oil in India
Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd. (GOLIL), a Hinduja Group subsidiary, has announced a long- term strategic partnership with South Korean base oil refiner S-Oil Corporation, to exclusively manufacture and market S-Oil’s entire range of lubricants under the S-Oil Seven brand in India.

With a wide range of automotive lubricant products, S- Oil Seven has been a trusted brand by leading automakers such as Hyundai-Kia, Ssangyong and other OEMs. S-Oil Seven is exported to more than 60 countries from South Korea.

This is the first time that S-Oil finished lubricant products will be manufactured outside of South Korea.

Gulf Oil’s relationship with S-Oil began as a base oil customer-supplier relationship. The launch of S-Oil Seven lubricants brand will further strengthen their 15-year relationship. Both companies will work together to build value with this association, leveraging S-Oil’s strong relationship with Korean OEMs, complemented by Gulf Oil India’s manufacturing, marketing and distribution expertise in India. Commercial production of S-Oil Seven recently began at Gulf Oil Lubricants’ state-of-the-art lubricant blending plant in Chennai, India.

“Our relationship with S-Oil gets even stronger with this opportunity as we will work together to launch new products and grow our market shares in India across segments, bringing in a range of technologically advanced products for Indian consumers looking for value creating solutions. The S-Oil Seven range made with leading technology and approval from OEM’s in segments that are growing, as also the renowned quality of Korean products will be showcased and now made in India,” said Ravi Chawla, managing director and CEO of Gulf Oil.

"API SP AND ILSAC GF-6 SPECIFICATIONS ARE COMING IN 2020"

Carmakers continue the drive to efficiency and fuel economy. With these goals, demands on engines and their componentry continue to increase. Today’s engines are smaller, lighter and more efficient with technologies designed improve fuel economy, performance and power.

What Are the New Standards Being Introduced In 2020?
GF-6A and GF-6B are the latest minimum standards implemented by ILSAC to ensure oils are meeting the needs of newer vehicles and new engine technology. API SP is the new minimum engine oil standard developed to address the critical needs of today’s engines; including chain wear, Low Speed Pre-Ignition, and deposit formation. API SP is the foundation for the ILSAC GF-6 specification but does not include fuel economy. API SP is available for different viscosity grades.

Why it is Happening?
Car manufacturers now require higher-quality oils to protect their latest generation engine designs, along with a need for lubricants to offer a greater contribution to fuel economy. ILSAC GF-6A and GF-6B improves upon the ILSAC GF-5 requirements in six areas:

1. Fuel economy and fuel economy retention.
2. Engine durability.
3. Wear protection for idle-stop.
4. Low Speed Pre-Ignition minimisation.
5. Engine oil aeration reduction.
6. Turbocharger deposit control.

ACEA Standards

ACEA is the abbreviation for European Automobile Manufacturers Association and composed of automobile manufacturers, oil companies, and consumer groups (representative).

The standards established by the ACEA are more rigorous in test items than the API standards and put emphasis on durability, and also require the high-level of environmental performance such as improving fuel efficiency and reducing harmful substances like exhaust gas.
