Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) clarified that a large hole that appeared on Jalan Pantai Permai, Kampung Kerinchi last Monday was not caused by its sewage pipe. The company said its operations team had carried out an inspection at the scene of the incident after receiving a report from Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and found that the flow of sewage via sewerage pipes was smooth as usual.
The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department's exploration of a nearby sewer channel earlier this morning to locate the missing Indian national who fell into the sinkhole on Jalan Masjid India has once again hit another dead end. A check by Bernama saw two scuba divers from the department’s Northern Region Academy began descending into the sewer channel at 4am to reach a suspected backlog area approximately 44 metres from the incident site. Members of the SAR team reported that the divers faced significant challenges, including large amounts of rocks and sand in the channel, while strong currents made it difficult to reach the backlog area. #KiniNews: Hypocrite? Anwar responds; 'No need to declare Jalan Masjid India area as unsafe zone' [KiniNews] Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has shot down the accusation of his government being hypocritical to defend the use of the Sedition Act against Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin. Responding to Bersatu secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin’s accusation yesterday, Anwar said Muhyiddin must face the consequences of his allegedly seditious remarks against the royalty. “The report against Muhyiddin was lodged by the Pahang palace. So, he (Hamzah) does not need to spin. He knows, but he just wants to play politics," he said. Meanwhile, in a separate story, Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said there is currently no need to declare the area of Jalan Masjid India, where the sinkhole incident recently occurred, as an unsafe or disaster zone. So far, there is no need to declare the Jalan Masjid India area as an unsafe zone because the sinkhole incident is not classified as a disaster," he said. ___________________ 📌 Share this news!
