We're looking for passionate singers to join our resident chorus for exciting and monumental productions of The Merry Widow and Turandot, with the opportunity to perform alongside our world-class Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra. No prior experience needed, just dedication and a love for music!

What to Prepare:
Bring a song of your choice. If you need a pianist to accompany you, email your score to [email protected] in advance. Alternatively, send us your backing track.

Your support helps fund the real costs of producing opera — artists, orchestra, venue, sets, costumes, and the technical team behind the scenes.

From Golden Age of Broadway and Young Mozart Voyager, to Don Giovanni, Salute to Cinema with Tutan Festival Orchestra, Ravel 150, and Exchange for Peace with the Bentley Music Academy—every production this year was made possible by the incredible people behind the scenes and on stage.

To our artists (principal singers, chorus, orchestra, chidlren from the Opera for Kids workshop), creatives, crew, partners, parents, sponsors, volunteers, and - of course - our audience: thank you for showing up, believing in the work, and helping us make 2025 such a memorable year for Kuala Lumpur City Opera.

We’re thrilled to share that members of KL City Opera were featured in a news segment by Front Line (CGTN) about the simulcast of The Merry Widow by the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Beijing, held at TGV Suria KLCC on 20 December 2025 at 7:00pm, presented by Live Viewing Entertainment.

It was such a unique experience to enjoy opera on the big screen alongside fellow opera lovers in Kuala Lumpur — and we’re honoured to be part of this international celebration of music and culture.
