TEEBOX | Kota Permai Golf & Country Club crowned their annual club champions in true style following the conclusion of the Club Championships on June 22.

Scratch handicapper Carl Mikael Lund carded rounds of 72 and 79 to emerge victorious in the men's championship, which was shortened to 36 holes after the first round was called off due to inclement weather on Friday.

The women's and senior's competitions, which concluded on June 15, saw successful title defenses by national junior Ngo Yi Belle (78-78) and Zakaria Mohamad (76-78) respectively.

MST Golf Arena is inviting all amateur golfers across Malaysia to participate in the eGolf Games - a nationwide indoor golf competition from June 15 to July 15.

This exciting 18-hole challenge uses the Modified Stableford System 36 format and is open to amateur golfers of all ages and skill levels.

The month-long competition will conducted at all MST Golf Arena locations, namely The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur; IOI Mall Damansara, Petaling Jaya; Gurney Paragon Mall, Penang; and Toppen Shopping Centre, Johor.

Over RM15,000 worth of prizes, including golf equipment, bags, balls, and MST Golf Arena vouchers, are up for grabs. Trophies and prizes await the top three men and women finishers, with exciting lucky draws for all participants.

AMATEUR | World number two women's amateur Mirabel Ting becomes the first Malaysian to receive the prestigious ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel - an annual award given to the top women Division I collegiate golfer as voted upon by players, coaches and members of the golf media.

A junior at Florida State University, Ting has enjoyed standout season, recording five individual victories, including the Folds of Honor Collegiate and Schooner Fall Classic in 2024 as well as the Collegiate Invitational at the Guadalajara Country Club, the Briars Creek Invitational and the Florida State Match Up.

By virtue of winning the award, she will join 2025 Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific champion Jeneath Wong at the fourth women's major championship - The Amundi Evian Championship in July.
