After sketch the website, we create the Website using the Wix, as it free login to use it. Throughout a week, we discuss and do the website based on the comments that lecturer gives to us to improve the features of website. Among the features that we emphasize on the website are the tengatang melon, Mr. Haziq's biodata, the price, the products offered as well as the advantages and benefits of rock melon. This is because the features in the website are a great element to attract the attention of customers to learn more about melons and Mr. Haziq can provide any updates about rock melons in the website. Kuganesh and Nimalan were chosen to create a website to promote Mr. Haziq's melon rock because they have more extensive knowledge in website design while other members were given the task of drawing sketches for the website.

Activity 3 - Visiting the rockmelon farm to the third time

We visited the rock melon farm for the third time to finalize the information. We also meet the business owner to create a social media account for his business. After discussion with him, we have decided to create a TikTok account as a platform for him to promote his business. This would be our last visit to his farm as we already reached the date for the submission of report and logbook.

Challenge:
Opened a website for Mr. Haziq to promote his product in a short time.

In order to align with the report writing rubric's guidelines, the list of questions to be asked during the interview with the business owner must be streamlined and processed again. Furthermore, the lecturer provided some samples of questions we may ask the business owner.

Day: Saturday
Date: 27 April 2024.

A short video compiles all the activity been done by all the group members during the first meet with Mr Haziq, a business owner of rock melon.Through the visit we have conducted, various information has been given by Mr. Haziq about his rock melon plant. In comparison to other farmers, Mr. Haziq utilizes advanced systems and precision farming techniques to optimize the growth of his rock melon. This involves ensuring the ideal water and nutrient supply through the use of irrigation, soil moisture, and data analysis, which will produce higher yields and higher-quality fruits. Furthermore, we discovered several difficulties that Mr. Haziq encountered about crops, marketing, and sales. Among the particular difficulties Mr. Haziq faces in crop production are pests and illnesses that might harm the plants of rock melon and lower the output overall. Unpredictable weather patterns, including drought or excessive rain, can also have an effect on the development and growth of the crops. Finally, Mr. Haziq may encounter difficulties in keeping his rock melon plantation healthy and sustainable if he is to find high-quality seeds and make sure that crop rotation is done correctly.

📝📍 Update 3 (29 April - 5 May 2024)

Location: Kodiang, Kedah.
Content: The activity happened throughout a week.

Activity 1 - Divide a task

A leader divide a task for our project starting from the updating logbook and report. We divide a task for update logbook, editing a videos and pictures, searching for the digital marketing audit based on the rockmelon business. Other group members will start the report for the introduction based on the first meet with Mr. Haziq. Leader prepare the google document for every group members access and write the report in that document.

Activity 2 - Rearrange the questions to be asked during the second meet with rockmelon business owner

After discuss with lecturer, we do some adjustments to the question that we list in the first meet of visiting. We also add on the questions in order to gain more information for the report writing. All the questions are also the suggestion from lecturer to cover for the topic in the SULAM project.

Activity 3 - Second meet with rockmelon business owner

The second visit to Encik Haziq's melon garden included an observation at the melon plant's progress and an interview for more information. This time, the interview is more informative and concise because the group members have prepared a list of questions to ask Mr. Haziq. This collection of questions is also based on the lecturer's suggestions and feedback from the previous class. Group members have provided questions about parts of marketing that they have or wish to employ. Among the questions we asked were the current sales %, estimated quantity of fruits sold, competition in the fruit market, sales targets, use of social media (FB), recommended activation of dedicated social media accounts for the melon business, and planning in terms of brand awareness. Group members recorded all of the interview information, as well as the interview itself, as extra documentation. All of the information has been collated and saved to pdf format so that group members may easily assess it for the report writing process.

During the interview, Mr. Haziq shared his thoughts on the possible usage of social media in his business. However, he struggled to implement it since he lacked content ideas, didn't know where to begin, and didn't know which platform was best for him. As a result, a few of us suggested that he create a TikTok social media account to use as a platform to download any content connected to his business. We also highlighted why we chose TikTok as his main social media platform. In addition, we provide some content suggestions that will not only enhance sales but also increase customer engagement with new market segments. Mr. Haziq has given group members permission to create a social media account and start learning about digital marketing.

After end the interview, we requested permission to visit his garden. This time, we got to see how the melons were growing. During his time in the garden, Mr. Haziq explained the technique he uses for melon plants, which includes hydroponics and water channels. At the same time, while gazing at the melon garden area, the group members recommended that Mr. Haziq record the development process of the melon fruit and post it on social media. We also suggested that he attempt to make a live video on Facebook or Tiktok while fertilizing or cleaning the garden. As a result, garden activities are one of the ways for entrepreneurs to attract customers who are familiar with and recognise the things they produce and sell. In addition to purchasing their products, some customers are interested in learning from and adding to the knowledge of young entrepreneurs. At the end of this meeting, we'd like to thank Mr. Haziq for taking the time to be interviewed by us. This meeting taught the group members a variety of things, including the unrealized potential of young entrepreneurs, the value of digital marketing skills in business, how to care for melon plants, and hydroponic farming techniques.

📝📍 Update 2 (22-28 April 2024)

Location: PPIPT, Kangar & Kodiang, Kedah.
Content: The discussion and visiting the farm throughout a week.

Activity 1 - Discussion about the chosen agro-business

Group participants discuss with the lecturer the concept of a new business owner changes. Previously, the selection was limited to mushroom manufacturers, but was later expanded to include melon fruit producers in Kodiang, Kedah. We could not find the exact place for the mushroom during our first attempt to that place. So, our group decided to change from mushroom to the rockmelon farming. The changes was agreed upon by the entire group and confirmed by the lecturer.

Activity 2 - Contact with the rockmelon business owner

Communicate with the melon fruit business owners to get permission to carry out the SULAM project within the melon fruit category of agriculture. The business owner has given the group permission to proceed with and carry out the project on his farm. Along with the business owner at his farm, group members have also scheduled the first meeting date.

Activity 3 - Listing the questions for the interview with the business owner

Using the guidelines from the report rubric, the lecturer offers some questions that can be given to the business owners. Before meeting and conducting an interview with the business owner, the group members created a list of questions. After the first interview, group members begin revising the outline report in order to write a comprehensive report. We list down the question covering the topics of marketing methods, type of agro-business he is currently doing, the timeline of his business from the starting and many more.

Activity 4 - First meet with rockmelon business owner

The group members visited the business owner's agricultural location and met him for the first interview. The first interview went well, despite the fact that the business owner could only be interviewed for a short while because of his schedule constraints. Besides, he had just completed looking after to the garden. Group members went to the melon farm area with Mr. Haziq in order to conduct a preliminary study of the farm's area. This is so because the farm's location has a direct impact on the sales and profit the business owner will make. The melons on the field are still young and small at this point. Additionally, Mr. Haziq shared some information on the growth of his plant, particularly from the beginning of the decision to operate this melon fruit plant. The group members have taken some pictures to be used as a record of the findings from the survey and the first interview at the melon farm. Following this initial meeting, Mr. Haziq gave the group members an overview of the downstream crops he grows, kailan and collard greens. He improves his income through downstream crops in addition to concentrating on his primary source of income, which comes from melons. But currently, melons are his primary source of income.

Activity 1 - Choosing the agro-business

The selection of small business owners from cultivating agricultural crops. We concentrate on looking for fruit and vegetable growing areas in the Perlis state. Everyone in the group decided that the first suggestion for the project's primary focus is the cultivation of mushrooms. In the event that the initial idea is turned down, group members also supply some other details about business owners, farmers, and producers of fruits and vegetables, such as addresses, phone numbers, and the kind of planting that will be done. Apart from mushroom cultivation, our group members are also looking for some more farmers in this area as a backup for our course work and during the search we have managed to find 5 more small business owners who are related to the theme we have acquired.

Activity 2 - Create a page for E-Logbook

The creation of a page that serves as an electronic logbook to provide updates on all the developments and initiatives that have been completed. In accordance with the class group's categorization, the page is called 21F08. The most recent details and information regarding the project will be provided via e-logbook of this FB page.

Activity 3- choose a date and time to site visit

During the discussion, our group discussed choosing a suitable date and time to visit the mushroom growing area. The selection of the date and time of this visit will be done when all members have free time and after obtaining the permission of the owner of the plant to give permission to make the visit. One of our group, Salmilah, was assigned to contact the owner of the mushroom farm to obtain permission to visit.

Challenge:
Difficulty finding small business owner especially on google because the number of business owner available on the internet is very limited and have to compete with peers to choose traders because each team member must have a different business owner.
