Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has arrived for the second meeting of the third session of the 19th Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN).
He will be tabling the 2025 Sarawak Budget this morning.
The DUN sitting will be taking place from 11 to 20 November.

The Proton e.MAS 7 is touring across the Malaysian states which began on Oct 5 this year and arrived in Sarawak on Nov 9 at the Melinau Auto showroom, Jalan Tun Jugah.
Private individuals, corporate bodies, stakeholders as well as the public were gathered at the showroom to see the e.MAS 7 and its incredible features that contributes to sustain the environment.

State Budget among four bills to be tabled
Four Bills are scheduled to be tabled at the upcoming Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting from Nov 11 to 20.

The Bermukun se-Borneo event, which began on November 7 and runs until November 11, will serve as a platform to strengthen the culture and tradition of Bermukun across three countries: Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and the Republic of Indonesia.
Director of the Radio Program Division at the Malaysian Broadcasting Department, Saifuzzaman Yusop, said that despite the differences in language and dialect, this will not be an obstacle for the three countries in the Borneo Archipelago to unite in organising a meaningful program to showcase the Bermukun culture and tradition.
"Although we have different languages and dialects, it does not hinder us because we share a common goal and vision to preserve and continue this culture so it is not lost to time and can be passed down to future generations,"

Police have apprehended two men, one of whom is a foreign national, to aid in the investigation of a shooting incident that occurred yesterday (Nov 7) on the fourth floor of a hotel parking lot.
Bintulu Police Chief Superintendent Nixon Joshua Ali reported that the suspects, both in their 40s, were detained in Miri after fleeing the scene.
"Following the arrest, the police seized a vehicle believed to be involved in this case. A remand application will be submitted to the Bintulu Magistrate’s Court, and investigations are being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code to assist in the investigation,” he said.
The public who have information related to this crime are urged to come forward and contact the Bintulu IPD Operations Room at 086-318304.

Meet 74-year-old Loke Yee Choo, whose unwavering support and determination have been key in her husband’s remarkable academic journey.
Her husband, 76-year-old Ernest Chai Oi Khun, recently completed his Master’s in Information Technology Management at UNIMAS (University Malaysia Sarawak), becoming the oldest graduate this year.
“I feel very proud of him. He is very persistent, what he thinks is he is right he goes ahead. He studied late till the night, while I was doing my housechores.
“I was supportive in a way because he also had nothing to do, but he likes a lot of things. He does gardening, he's very good at gardening, planting vegetables and fruits and rearing chickens before,” she shared.

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari is optimistic that newly elected United States President Donald Trump will work towards aligning with pressing global issues, particularly in addressing climate change.
“There has been significant changes over the past four years since Trump’s first administration. I believe the United States (US) will strive to align with the global challenges we are facing, especially on climate change.
“Sarawak’s position on climate change is clear. However, it’s still quite premature to predict Trump’s policies in this new administration, so we will be observing closely in the coming months,” he said.
