Although our visit was brief, it was packed with meaningful exchanges that underscored the immense potential of collaboration between academia and industry. It is hoped that such collaboration helps to create a positive ecosystem which aids in training and keeping local talents.🤝

It’s really great to see another batch of interns completing the compulsory industrial training in their Bachelor of Arts in Creative Digital Media with University of Technology Sarawak (UTS). On 7 Jan 2025, Maureen B**g and Amy Ting had presented their VR content, showcasing a a 360-degree panoramic video of a futuristic Kuching tour within the metaverse during their Academic supervisor's visit. Their work has indeed portrayed the boldness and optimism of the younger generation in shaping the nation’s development.

The studio appreciates Mr. Jaibi's visit and wee hope that he is satisfied with his students’ performances and guidance received throughout the training duration. The partnership is desired to help in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application. By connecting theoretical knowledge with practical experience, we aim to empower individuals to excel in their careers and contribute effectively to their industries.

𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

Betapuru Digital Sdn Bhd ("Betapuru Digital") is one of the leading animation studio in East Malaysia, overseeing both its "Betapuru Studio" and "Trainformation" arms.

As part of our expansion plan and Strategic Planning for 2025 and beyond, the Board of Directors, led by Ir. Ts. Shawn Mckenzie, has appointed Tc. Lim Phong Hian as the new Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Betapuru Digital, replacing Ts. Lee Kah Chuong, who will take on an active role as the new Chief Financial Officer, CFO, effective 1st January 2025.

Tc. Lim has vast experience in leading animation production and studio, having previously served as Chief Operation Officer, COO. We believe that Tc. Lim will continue to propel Betapuru to greater heights in alignment with our new motto for next year: "Make Betapuru Great."

Ir. Ts. Shawn Mckenzie will continue to play an active role as Interim Chairman of Betapuru while we await the return of our Executive Chairman, who has been called out of retirement to serve in the government due to his vast knowledge and experience.

Once again, we are proud to announce the winner for 2024 Reallusion 3D Character Contest! He is none other than our studio’s incredibly talented animator, Francis B**g! 🎉👏

Watching again his entry featuring Azura, a stylized Cyberpunk character with bunny-like features, makes it crystal clear why he took home the win.

Azura is not just a character; she’s a work of art brought to life with the combined power of Blender, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, and the magic of AccuRig ActorCore for lifelike and fluid movements.

🚀 “My character design was inspired by stylized games like Valorant, Deadlock, Apex Legends, and Overwatch, which combine striking visuals with rich backstories. I admire how games like Overwatch and League of Legends use cinematic storytelling to develop characters, and this blend of design and narrative drives me to create visually engaging characters with strong connections to their worlds,” said Francis.

Seeing the work-in-progress highlights how much dedication and expertise went into crafting Azura’s unique cyberpunk vibe. Francis didn’t just create a character; he crafted a story, a persona, and a visual feast that inspires us all. 💻🎨

Francis, we’re so proud of you! This win is a testament to your hard work, creativity, and passion. To everyone else—if you haven’t checked out Azura’s journey yet, you’re missing out on some serious inspiration.

We presented our progress over the past year and shared our plans for 2025. We believe that Reallusion’s tools have significant potential not only in education and training but also in the commercial field.
