🔥📍 National shuttlers Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani make history by becoming the first Malaysian men's doubles pair to advance to the finals of the World Tour Finals in Hangzhou.

• Sze Fei-Izzuddin beat Indonesia's Muhammad Fajar Alfian-Rian Ardianto 17-21, 21-16, 27-25.

🔥 Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei made history as the first Malaysian mixed doubles pair to reach the World Tour Finals' title match.

They defeated compatriots Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai 21-15, 21-12 in the semi-finals.

In the final, they will face either China's Olympic champions Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong or world No. 2 Jiang Zhenbang and Wei Yaxin.

Ahli Parlimen Muar Syed Saddiq mencadangkan supaya nama RUU Komunikasi dan Multimedia (Pindaan) 2024 ditukar kepada RUU Akta Gam Mulut Rakyat atau Akta Sakit Hati.

RUU ini diluluskan di Dewan Rakyat pada hari Isnin (9 Disember) melalui undi belah bahagian dengan 59 Ahli Parlimen bersetuju dan 40 tidak menyokong. Seorang Ahli Parlimen tidak mengambil bahagian manakala 122 orang tidak hadir.

Antara pindaan yang dibuat menerusi RUU ini termasuk penggantian perkataan 'jelik' dengan perkataan 'jelik melampau' pada seksyen berkenaan larangan terhadap pemberian kandungan jelik serta penggunaan tidak wajar kemudahan atau perkhidmatan rangkaian.

📍 Time named president-elect Donald Trump "Person of the Year" on Thursday (Dec 12). This marks the second time Trump has received the title.

• "For marshalling a comeback of historic proportions, for driving a once-in-a-generation political realignment, for reshaping the American presidency and altering America's role in the world, Donald Trump is TIME's 2024 Person of the Year," said Time editor-in-chief Sam Jacobs.

• Time wrote that Trump's 2024 win was historical in several ways, noting that he will be the oldest President in US history and the first convicted felon to be elected President.

• "This is an honor, a tremendous honor. And I have to say, getting this honour for the second time. I think I like it better this time," Trump said. He rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the unveiling of the magazine cover.

• Time first named Trump "Person of the Year" in 2016 following his election to presidency. The following year, Trump claimed he was being considered for the title again but wouldn't agree to an interview and photo shoot. Time denied his claims.

📍 National shuttler Lee Zii Jia was forced to pull out from the final group match at the World Tour Finals in Hangzhou following an ankle injury.

• Zii Jia retired from the match against China's Li Shi Feng while leading 15-11, following his 22-20 win in the first game. The injury first occurred when the player was leading 13-5 in the second game, while he was attempting to retrieve a drop shot.

• Following the tournament's rules, the player's previous group wins will be null and void due to his withdrawal from the last group match.

📍 Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) has filed for bankruptcy against actress Rozita Che Wan, known as Che Ta, and her eldest son Ammar Effendy over failure to repay RM960,000 loan since 2017.

• According to Berita Harian, the loan was taken out by Rozita's company RCW Worldwide Sdn Bhd, with her and her son named as guarantors.

• “We have given her ample time to settle the loan of nearly RM1 million that she took out seven years ago. We do not take action against defaulters arbitrarily or target specific individuals in our actions," Mara chairman Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said.

• “In fact, before any legal action is taken, the value of ‘compassion’ is also prioritised by giving the troubled borrower the opportunity to come to Mara to negotiate their debt rescheduling and restructuring,” the chairman added.

• Mara raided Rozita's house on Tuesday (10 Dec), seizing a car, furniture, shoes and household items, to be auctioned off.

📍 Local rapper Sharifah Zamaera alleges MBSJ officer secretly recorded her while she was undressed during a massage session in SS14. •⁠ ⁠Zamaera claimed several male MBSJ officers entered the massage parlour without announcing their presence and one officer recorded her while she was covered in only a towel.
