Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim menjelaskan isu kesahihan adendum buat pertama kali. Dia menegaskan bahawa kerajaan tidak pernah menyembunyikan dokumen adendum yang membenarkan bekas Perdana Menteri Najib Razak menjalani baki hukuman penjaranya di bawah tahanan rumah.
"Kalau kita nak dengar kerenah-kerenah penghasut ini, siapa pun tidak akan untung. Negara ini akan terhambat seperti negara-negara mundur kerana perpecahan antara kaum. Penghasut-penghasut dari segi agama yang akan merugikan kita."
Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim mengingatkan rakyat supaya tidak memberi tumpuan kepada isu-isu remeh seperti isu perkauman dalam ucapannya di Majlis Pecah Tanah Projek LRT Laluan Mutiara.

Woman's handbag stolen in supermarket
📍 A 39-year-old woman's handbag containing RM3,000 and valuables was stolen at a Pandamaran supermarket.
• Police managed to arrest the 37-year-old suspect hours later after identifying her from CCTV footage and successfully recovered all stolen items.
• The case is being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code.

Woman Burns Motorcycle to Stop Repossession, Pleads Guilty to Mischief by Fire.
📍 Woman who burned motorcycle to prevent repossession over 20 months’ unpaid instalments pleads guilty to committing mischief by fire.
• Zainatul Rafeda Zainul Abidin, a 43-year-old pisang goreng seller, pleaded guilty to committing mischief by fire after setting a motorcycle on fire to prevent it from being repossessed in Taiping on Dec 26. The motorcycle belonged to a 22-year-old Zainatul Syakira Amira Zaini.
• A viral video showed Zainatul dousing the motorcycle with petrol and then setting it on fire to prevent a group of repossessors from seizing it.
• It was reported that she had 20 months’ unpaid instalments for the motorcycle.
• Zainatul faces a charge under Section 435 of the Penal Code, which carries up to 14 years in prison and a fine upon conviction.

Rosmah's Birthday Gift POV
📍 Summary of latest court decision on Rosmah’s money laundering and tax evasion charges:
• On Dec 19, 2024, the Kuala Lumpur High Court discharged and acquitted Rosmah Mansor, wife of former Prime Minister Najib Razak, of 17 charges.
• Rosmah was acquitted of 12 counts of money laundering involving RM7,097,750 and 5 counts of failing to declare income to the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
• The court cited insufficient convincing evidence from key witnesses, a lack of solid documentation to support the charges, and irregularities in the legal proceedings as reasons for acquitting Rosmah.
• "This is what I call justice. Dari day one lagi lawyers beritahu saya there is no basis for these charges. But you never know. Ini bukan sahaja hadiah untuk hari jadi saya. Ini juga hadiah kepada Bossku," said Rosmah after the court decision.
• Following the acquittal, prosecutors have filed an appeal against the decision.
• Rosmah has two other ongoing cases against her: a lawsuit filed by Lebanon-based Global Royalty Trading SAL, seeking damages for the loss of more than 40 pieces of jewellery worth RM65.13 million and a US$ 346 million (RM1.6 billion) lawsuit by 1MDB and 10 other companies over the alleged purchase of luxury goods with 1MDB funds.
• Separately in 2022, Rosmah was found guilty of corruption charges related to a RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project for 369 rural Sarawak schools. She is currently appealing her 10-year jail term and RM970 million fine.

📍 A Jeju Air plane carrying 175 passengers and 6 crew members crashed at South Korea's Muan International Airport earlier today, killing at least 85 people.
• The plane, returning from Bangkok, crashed while landing. Reuters reports two people were found alive so far. Rescue operations are still underway.
• 173 South Koreans and 2 Thai nationals were on board the flight.
• According to Reuters, this crash was the first fatal accident in the history of Jeju Air, one of South Korea's largest low-cost airlines which began operations in 2005.
• Local media reported the deadly accident may have been caused by birds getting caught in the plane's systems.
