🚨 Malaysiakini posts new video clip from whistleblower in corruption case involving several assemblymen featuring veteran politician Rubin Balang.

• The video started with the whistleblower and Rubin talking about the challenges of being a YB, with Rubin complaining that his son Riduan, the MP of Tenom, had not received any position or income, "just salary".

• Rubin also recalled the tussle for the Prime Minister’s post between Anwar Ibrahim and Muhyiddin Yassin. “We signed to give Muhyiddin support. But nothing was given in return. Only then… Muhyiddin did not become PM, then we went for (to support) PMX,” Rubin said.

• The second half of the video showed the whistleblower negotiating to acquire a firm under Rubin's children for a mining project.

• The whistleblower talked about "taking over the licence" in exchange for RM3 million. Rubin responded, "RM3 million? That's all? Wasting my time."

• Rubin also disclosed that Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor had granted him one (licence) when he asked for two but is grateful nonetheless.

• Rubin is now the chairperson of the state-owned Sabah Economic Development Corporation (Sedco). He is also a member of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah, led by Hajiji.
