• Klang mayor Noraini Roslan refuted these claims. "I appreciate the public's concern, but some of the information being shared is completely false, particularly claims that the cats are hungry and abandoned," she said.
• “It is also false that many cats were found dead. Only one dead cat was left outside the park by an unknown individual," she added.
• The cat park, launched mid-August, was built by Sime Darby Property at a cost of about RM800,000 and is operated by the Klang city council’s health department.

Police have opened an investigation paper over allegations that former deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Mash*tah Ibrahim, was involved in a human-trafficking syndicate in Myanmar.
The Home Ministry says it is leaving it to PDRM to investigate the matter.
"I have full confidence in their professionalism in handling the matter.
“From the recent Asean Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime in Laos, it was noted that human trafficking is on the rise across all participating countries,” says Minister Saifuddin Nasution.
Earlier, the Malaysian International Humanitarian Organisation urged the MACC to probe into the claims.
MHO sec-gen Hishamuddin Hashim said this follows a viral Indonesian video claiming a politician and her husband were involved in a human-trafficking syndicate in Myanmar.
Hashim claimed that the syndicate's MO involved deceiving victims online by offering attractive job opportunities before forcing them to work as online gambling scammers.
Mash*tah had denied the allegation and made a police report, labelling the allegations as outrageous.

• 21-year-old pro badminton player Samuel Lee was fined RM25,000 in default six months' jail by the Sessions Court today after pleading guilty to beating a Husky dog at his house.
• Lee was charged with repeatedly beating the dog with his hand on the balcony of his residence near Kajang on July 1.
• The charge carries a maximum of three years imprisonment or RM100,000 fine, or both upon conviction.
• The incident was recorded by a neighbour and went viral on social media.
