Hare Krishna!
I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Rafiqa, a lecturer in Bandung, Indonesia, who teaches Integrated Arts. As she browsed through the books, she shared her deep interest in arts and culture. She mentioned that she had learned Bharata Natyam during her time studying in Pakistan.
Currently, Ms. Rafiqa is working on her thesis, focusing on cultural dance and performances. She expressed a keen desire to delve deeper into the Ramayana, hoping to incorporate its essence into a Ramayana-inspired cultural dance theory. She described the idea beautifully—as peace through arts. How nice, she got the Ramayana on the eve of Rama Navami!
In addition, her involvement in interfaith religious studies drew her to the Bhagavad Gita, the 5000 years old literature. She was very respectful and deeply appreciative that authentic Vedic literatures were being presented openly and accessibly in public spaces. She specially requested me to speak more about the author Srila Prabhupada, and she was really touched with sacrifices that Srila Prabhupada made to spread Lord Krishna’s message far and wide, to every nook and corner of the world and his greatest legacy of transcendental literatures!
