To be honest, we don't really follow these 'posting guidelines' on our on platforms, but it might be useful to someone out there! What's the 5:3:2 rule?

For every 10 posts,
5: Curated content (from other sources) that is relevant to your audience
3: Content from you that is relevant to your audience

Don't be afraid to repurpose your old content!

You've probably amassed a lot of content on your various socmed channels by now, and you've probably come to a point where you're struggling to come out with new ideas. Fret not! Those old content you posted months or years ago? Some might still be relevant today.

It isn't as easy as just copy pasting though; you might need to update it with new captions, graphics or approach it at a different angle. Here are some ideas to get you started:

1. Turn long form videos into Tiktoks, Reels, and Shorts
2. Re-share some of your best past work
3. Extract quotes or snippets from existing content
4. Turn comments into content

We get it. You're spending money on ads and hiring a social media manager and you want to see results. Fast.

While it's possible to get immediate results via paid advertisement, ultimately your goal is to create a community and connect with your customers. However, it does take time for this to happen.

It takes time for people to build a connection with your brand. It also takes time for you to really find the best ways to reach your target audience. And finally, it takes time for the 'algorithm' to start pushing your content out to the right audiences, through long term, consistent and good quality posting.

We may be living in the age of social media, but WOM marketing is still one of the best and most powerful forms of marketing. How often have we gone to a new restaurant or checked out the newest cafe in town because of our friends' recommendations?

Social media presents a double-edged sword in terms of getting word out there. On one hand, it's easier for people to discover new places via content creators and food bloggers, but on the other, can you really trust these people who are being paid to post and review these establishments?

First of all, find out WHY.

Do they understand the value of social media? Maybe they've tried it before but didn't see the results they want? Or perhaps they are afraid that social media will only attract negative attention?

Whatever the reason may be, trust us, we've heard it all before. Back when we started Supermassive in 2018, we spent almost all our time trying to educate our potential clients to get on socmed. Fast forwarding to today, it is almost unthinkable NOT to have any online presence.

"Threads won't last"
"My engagement on Threads is so low"
"ANOTHER social media platform?!"

Okay now that we've had some time to try Threads, what do we really think about it?

Similar to almost everyone on Threads, we quickly hopped on the bandwagon to see what it's all about, and frankly many of us just wanted to move away from the toxicity of X (formerly known as Twitter). It was fun for the first couple of weeks and like everyone else, we see a drop in engagement. However like anything new, it takes time to evolve and improve, and already we're seeing new things come to Threads (finally - a "Following" tab).

So while it still won't usurp X (can't get over that rebranding πŸ™„) we think that many of you will come back to Threads soon enough.
