Iskandar Malaysia Studios is a world-class film and television studio facility for the Asia Pacific region offering 100,000 sq. of film stages, 24,000 sq. of television studios, hair/make up, wardrobe and dressing rooms, production offices, workshops, the largest purpose built 65m x 65m green-screen water tank in Asia Pacific and post production facilities.

IMS boasts a variety of water filming tanks, including Southeast Asia's largest exterior Water Tank, equipped with green screen and water effects capabilities for dynamic surface water filming. The 18 meter diameter, 6 meter deep cylindrical Deep Water Tank is perfect for extensive underwater scenes. Finally, Film Stage 5 houses one of the region's largest interior tanks, providing a versatile and controlled environment

Malaysia is among the top filming destinations in Asia for international film & TV projects.

During our recent business trip to Los Angeles, Iskandar Malaysia Studios (IMS) was invited to join the Malaysian delegation with National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), Consulate General of Malaysia in LA and Deloitte Malaysia. Together, we meet with key industry players in Hollywood including executives from the Motion Picture Association (MPA), Netflix, Disney, Warner Brothers Discovery, Sony Pictures, NBC Universal and Paramount.

Engaging in insightful discussions, we explored a range of topics from film incentives and infrastructures to best practices and collaborative opportunities. We are optimistic about the future prospects from the outcomes of these meetings.

With the globally competitive Film in Malaysia Incentive (FIMI), world-class filming facility, as well as a wide range of stunning locations, Malaysia is conveniently the preferred filming destination for many international productions.
