Having been residents of downtown JB, we're quite familiar with various makan spots. Then one day, a friend casually mentioned a kopitiam in Southkey Mosaic that sounded vaguely familiar, and guess what? Despite passing by countless times on our way to Mid Valley Southkey's parking lot, we've never given a try.

But hey, better late than never, right? Following the menu's recommendations on our first visit turned out to be a wise choice. The signature Otak Bun and aromatic Nasi Lemak, topped with an array of toppings, are real delights. And those fried chicken chunks with chilli sauce and Sambal? Absolutely hit the spot for us!

A fan of braised pork rice, we couldn't help but praise the top-notch meat quality! It brought back memories of our grandmother's cooking, with the perfect balance of fat and lean meat. The Pork Porridge was equally satisfying, creamy and generously packed with thick slices of lean meat and century eggs!

During breakfast and lunch, Yong Xin Kopitiam draws many office workers and holidaymakers from nearby Airbnb over the weekend. Spread over two shop lots, the neighbouring one houses multiple food stalls that we'll definitely explore next time we're in the area!

Our team at recently pulled off an electrifying PR stunt, teaming up with BIKA's 45th-anniversary bash for a rollercoaster of surprises!

Picture this: we stormed Menara Landmark Johor Bahru Office Tower with impromptu "pop-up" visits, dishing out BIKA's crowd-pleasing snacks to unsuspecting office dwellers. Meanwhile, at DoubleTree by Hilton, we crashed the Raya house celebration, spreading joy and BIKA goodies to over 200 ecstatic families.

Stepping into this hotpot haven, you're greeted by a mesmerizing array of themed areas, each adorned with stylish Black Pink colour schemes and illuminated by neon lights. Plus, there are private rooms available for a flat rate, offering unlimited food and drinks! With our minds set on savouring their delectable waffles and savoury braised pork rice, we eagerly dive in to select our ingredients and indulge in our favourite grills and desserts.

READ Szechuan Hot & Sour Soup, General T'zo Chicken, Oatmeal Prawn / Wasabi Prawn, Indonesian Style Curry Fish, Peking Duck, Oni / Yam Pudding & More! It would probably take us at least 4-5 trips just to have a clean sweep of their menu, but time is still on our side so don't miss out! 🤣
