BKR231: H,K, - Now Is The Time To Change The Earth (1989-2024 Best of H,K,) CD

H,K, was founded by KILI in 1989 after the break up of DEADLESS MUSS, one of the most important and the first Shizuoka Hardcore bands also featuring member of EVIL DEAD, THE RUSTLER and SWINDLE BITCH. In the meantime H,K, decided to change their style with a kind of uniquely Melodic Hardcore punk that was different from other Shizuoka bands in that period. This CD release contains all tracks from all releases by H,K, during their 35 years-long career including ultra-rare tapes of their first and second releases by D.I.S Records which was an important label that played a role in the Shizuoka scene in the 80's. As stated in the new 'Shizuoka Hardcore' book release that is written by Ishiya ( DEATHSIDE/ FORWARD), H,K, is part of the important band in the history of Shizuoka Hardcore scene along with DEADLESS MUSS, SO WHAT, MENTAL, INNOCENT, ZAMZA, THE RUSTLER and many more.

To make it easier, you can put them in the same bag as homies DEVIL MASTER (ZORN’s singer is the main character in the “Black Flame Candle”). Lay down your souls to ZORN’s rock’n’roll!

Finally, the long-awaited debut album from Philadelphia’s Zorn. While Zorn’s theatrical, (literally) scorching live shows are the stuff of legend, it would be a grave mistake to think the chaos they summon is all about the flaming swords, makeup, and leather corsets. Like Alice Cooper and David Bowie before them, Zorn knows you gotta have the songs to back up the image. Zorn’s metal-punk draws on death rock melody, intricate thrash riffing, and the bulldozing power of Discharge-inspired hardcore bands, but the songs are as infectious as they are intense. As with early Metallica, tracks like “Already Dead” and “Delco Devil Mosh” are built on memorable melodies that, in another time and place, might have formed the backbone of a killer glam rock single. I’m happy with my current reality, though, where Zorn is the kind of band who puts a devil standing atop a pile of flaming skulls on the cover of their album. DSM-5 / 暴力装置 - The Future Means Murder split proper D-beat delivered like it used to be as influenced by almighty DISCHARGE and DISCLOSE. DSM-5 recently just released an album from Cimex Records owned by Charlie (Anti Cimex) while 暴力装置 put out CDEP last year 2022. This CD included 12 new recording tracks with cover songs from DISCARD, that showed a blatant display of in-your-face, ugly and menacing hardcore buzzed with distortion. And both just when the constant cannonade of distorted guitars, aggresive vocals and pounding d-beats rawpunk as f**k.

Finnglish punk from Norwich, UK. A solid wall of hardcore punk supported by Katri’s vocals in Finnish create a unique blend and the sound you haven’t heard before. This is what happens when you blend Finish and English style of playing punk and, most importantly, add HAAVAT’s secret ingredient. Featuring members from different bands like Mid from Deviated Instinct on guitar, Haavat is different and there's a large D-Beat as backbone, a bit metallic at times but mostly crusty sounding stuff with absolute angst behind the vocals. All this played by veteran punks with exceptional production results and outstanding artwork from Rob Middleton. Recorded at Meantime Studios in May 2023, mastered at Dobra 12 Studio.
