Exemplifying Corporate Excellence: KL Television Network Sdn. Bhd. shines as the stellar Corporate Member, leaving a lasting impression at the AGM of The British Malaysian Society, held on Tuesday, 28 June at The Farmers Club, Whitehall Court, London.

The AGM was followed by The President’s Reception hosted by BMS President Sir Mark Moody Stuart KCMG.

Special tributes was paid to the late Dato’ Neville Green, who was the Founder Chairman of BMS some 40 years ago. Dato' Neville Green sadly passed away in February 2023.

Malaysia sudah mengharungi 65 tahun sebagai negara merdeka.

Sungguhpun begitu, berapa ramai di antara kita ataupun dalam kalangan rakyat Malaysia itu sendiri yang benar-benar faham dan menghayati maksud sebenar kemerdekaan.

Menurut pejuang kemerdekaan tanah air, Za’ba, kemerdekaan yang sebenar adalah kemerdekaan minda dan jiwa yang dipupuk menerusi pembinaan jati diri yang dibentuk oleh empat aspek utama: agama, bahasa, pendidikan dan sikap (akhlak).

Oleh itu, amat penting bagi kita untuk memantapkan ilmu pengetahuan, mengutamakan ketinggian adab, sentiasa berdedikasi dan bertanggungjawab serta memegang teguh prinsip ketuhanan mengikut konteks agama dan kepercayaan masing-masing.

What’s new at KL TV Network? It is “The Song of the Tree”.

XVIII century. In a small village of nomads, there is a sacred tree, which holds the secrets of generations. Women pray here. The village is full of peace and grace.

The young man from a poor family (Esen) is in love with the daughter of the main bai of the village (Begimay), she reciprocates his love. But her father (Bazarbay) and his surroundings despise the young man and humiliate him at every opportunity.

One day Esen, angry after an unfair loss in the game, steals meat prepared for important guests, and gives it to his dog. There is a scandal in the village, it is impossible to cook another meal, there is no firewood. It is a shame for the owners. In order to cook the meat, they cut down the sacred tree for firewood.

Everything changes overnight, chaos ensues. The cattle is dead. The village is full of strife and death. The sacred tree takes revenge. It bleeds.

Esen and Begimay run away from the village. The main characters will wander, be reborn, meet, make fateful actions and change their lives and the lives of their people.
