We are incredibly proud of our audio post team at Astro Studios for their exceptional work on our recent theatrical horror release, Malam Terlarang. Horror is a genre where sound is more than just a background element—it becomes a character of its own, building tension and delivering the scares.
We are thrilled by the response to the film. The reviews have been fantastic, and working on Malam Terlarang was an incredible journey into Malaysia’s spiritual past. A huge shoutout to our audio team, who transformed every creak, whisper, and ritual chant into a truly terrifying cinematic experience.
It was an absolute pleasure working alongside Hazo Mahayuddin , writer and showrunner of Malam Terlarang, Nurhanisham Muhammad (Labu), the director & cinematographer, and Gaya Su-Lin Pillay the producer from Infinitus Films. Their openness to creative exploration allowed the team to push boundaries and bring something truly special to the screen.
This film was mixed in Dolby Atmos by our re-recording mixer Archana Shanmuganathan, assisted by Hasbi Halik.
