Back in 2021, we celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary in the most magical place—Bacalar, the Lake of Seven Colors of Blue. From tranquil mornings by the lagoon to an adrenaline-pumping kayak trip through Los Rapidos, this anniversary was one for the books! 💙

We set out on a kayaking journey that brought us face-to-face with Bacalar’s stunning natural beauty. Imagine paddling through crystal-clear waters, surrounded by ancient stromatolites, and feeling the thrill of the current as we floated downstream. And that’s just part of the adventure! ✨

But it wasn't just about the water. We also indulged in a romantic dinner at one of Bacalar’s most enchanting restaurants, enjoyed a playful evening of ping pong, and reconnected with old friends.

And guess what? You don’t even need to rent a kayak to enjoy Los Rapidos—there’s a secret way to float through the lagoon that’s perfect for families, complete with life vests and endless fun! 🌿👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We fly tomorrow to Houston to escape the hurricane coming here and spend a couple days with Nate’s brother’s wife’s family (and all those cousins of Sophie). 💕💕

That’s before heading to Charlotte, NC on Friday for a couple family reunions with my mom’s side of the family in the NC mountains, Brownsburg, VA and Charlotte! 🥰

Happy 🥇 First Father’s Day! We love you so much. Thank you for everything you do for Sophia and I 🩷 from late night feedings or grabbing her a bottle and rocking / bouncing her, to early mornings with her so I can sleep in, to holding her when I need to go to the gym or eat or whatever I need, to the love you shower on both of us and how you always make sure we’re safe and taken care of. You are an amazing dad and it’s so special and incredible to watch you grow and stretch into this new version of yourself. You are amazing and we love you very much! So excited to be in this journey of parenthood with you and Sophia.

He lets me be my wild, emotional, messy self. We work through the mess together and always come out the other side that much clearer, deeper and free. Being able to fully express and be held in a space by your beloved— to let the energy move through you instead of getting stuck or stagnant is one of the most pleasurable and beautiful parts of life. We continue to grow together, deeper everyday. An onion being peeled layer by layer until you arrive at the core. A flower contracting then expanding even bigger to its full bloom. We ebb and flow like the ocean, we dance and move like the stars. Love is messy, it is unpredictable yet radiantly alive. Love is completely wild, truthful and divine. PS. Thanks so much for the wonderful dance class @erinparsley 😘 We are just starting out so no harsh judgments please. 😅
