Ever hear coyotes fill in for record-scratch sounds on an acoustic album? No? First time for us, too.

Hear it on this sample from "Come Back Alive" by Rick Rülf.

PS. The whole psychedelic experience is up on our youtube channel! (links on this page).

MAMA CROW is having a break through! Year's ago she recorded her demo, "Be Set Free" at the original Space Cave recording studio. Clearly, she's outgrown the nest! Seeing artists develop like this is the reason why we do what we do. Great track, Mama Crow. Grow On!

And be sure to check out her discography, too!

Last day of Winter, First Day of Spring...
Rising from the creative fertility of a dark winter (and a challenging year behind), this musical trilogy devours the darkness and welcomes the spring ahead. There is more meaning behind this than can be described. It would mean more than you know if you would simply enjoy this music video. Now is renaissance. Have a blessed and empowered year ahead.

Special thanks to Gigi Cano (on the drums!!!), Paradise Sound Arts, LLC, Billy Pratt, and Fairbanks Farms!!!

Space Cave Recording Arts is adapting. In empathy with the all who are challenged by the tremendous changes we are experiencing together, Space Cave services are continuously developing to meet the needs of people.

When the crisis hit, our resources were dedicated to supporting the creation of a documentary about dark sky in a remote place in Oregon that happened to be one of the last areas in the region to report a COVID case. By the time the documentary was complete, the Space Cave Recording Studio in Northern California was closed (SCRA strongly empathizes with all who were displaced as a result of this crisis). At this time, the imperative to adapt to changing conditions was clear, however, the actual changes that needed to be made were not. It wasn’t long, however, before widespread creative utilization of internet-based applications increased throughout the global and local population dramatically. Along with this, demand for the kinds of services provided by Space Cave also increased.

As an artistic institution, over the past year, Space Cave Recording Arts has adapted and grown to serve remarkable clients, including non-profit organizations dedicated to education and diverse humanitarian and environmental causes. It is with profound joy and inspiration that we help such virtuous clients voice, express and record multitudes of messages for the world. It is truly something to marvel, the profound and primal need for human expression.

This is essentially a short story about how a modest institution dedicated to the arts and humanities is adapting to this crisis. It shows the remarkable depth and need for human expression. Space Cave Recording Arts is extremely grateful to the remarkable institutions and individuals that we have worked with during this difficult time. In the wake of this tragedy, Space Cave’s vision and mission is more clear than ever, and we thank you for helping us find our purpose.

Just to hint at what’s to come… while the studio will remain closed for the foreseeable future, Space Cave is going mobile! Yes, we are nearing completion of the Creative Communications mobile command center. Although we’ve greatly enjoyed completing many remarkable videographic pieces over the year, we are anxious and excited to get back to recording music, including some of the astonishing songs that our musician friends have created while in isolation. A new era to come. Please wish us luck on the new mobile venture! We’ll keep you posted.
