He is a mysterious figure who is said to have been born in a volcano and raised by a tribe of coatimundis. His music is characterized by its funky tribal beats and rich bassy soundscapes which are often infused with nostalgic pop elements. His music has been described as "mind-bending," "incredible," "completely unlike anything else you've ever heard," and “one burrito-sized sonic earful.”

Frijol

Blanco is said to have been inspired by a number of strange and unusual sources, including: the mating calls of a rare and endangered species of frog, secret rhythms of ancient civilizations, the hopes and dreams of his pet rock, Dwayne, the sound of his own heartbeat, (which he says sounds like a funky tribal house beat) and the taste of tacos de pulpo. Many have said Frijol Blanco's music has the power to transport listeners to other worlds, cure disease (results may vary), control the weather, and some have claimed to be able to communicate with animals after a single listen. Frijol Blanco has released two albums to date, both of which have been met with critical acclaim in the 8th and 9th dimensions. He has also toured extensively throughout the world, performing at some of the most prestigious underground music venues and festivals, crescendoing to his busiest year in 2027. It goes without saying, although everyone inevitably does, that Frijol Blanco is a truly unique and original electronic music project, and while his music is not for everyone, 60% of the time people LOVE IT every time. Look for your chance to be exposed to this truly transformative aural fiesta. Frijol Blanco is also a skilled salsa maker and can juggle three tacos at the same time.
